RNC Calls for Immigration Reform, but No Pathway to Citizenship

There are 484 comments on the WAPI-AM Birmingham story from Aug 16, 2013, titled RNC Calls for Immigration Reform, but No Pathway to Citizenship. In it, WAPI-AM Birmingham reports that:

The Republican National Committee passed a resolution Friday calling on President Obama and Congress to pass immigration reform legislation before the end of the year, but it did not include a pathway to citizenship for any of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in this country, unlike the bipartisan legislation passed by the Senate in June.

No! It is called States Rights! STATES have the right to do that.....the government on the other hand DOES NOT have the right to impose on American's a FORCED purchase of anything from a private company. But they do have the right to TAX American's and that is all this is.....TAX being raised on the very people Obama promised would not have their tax raised one thin dime!

We are superior to all mud colored people. Especially the dark black ones. When we want diamonds we go to Africa and trick Africans into digging them up. When we want gold we go to Africa and trick Africans into digging some up. Whenever the Africans start to catch on that we are ripping them off, we trick the Africans into fighting each other. Africans are one of the stupidest species of hominid on this planet. Latinos are tied with the Africans for being a mindbogglingly stupid species of hominid. We Latinos into doing what we want and if they refuse, we trick them into fighting with each other until they forget why they were fighting and go back doing what they were doing before the started fighting. Exactly what we want them to do.
If you are saying you're more devious, more unscrupulous, more heartless than black people, you may have a point. But you do not speak for all white people. Most of us are not interested in tricking Africans or anyone else. So you are speaking for yourself and a relative few like-minded sociopathic creatures. You are dead from the neck up.

Your assessments are unfounded and based on right wing rhetoric. Bush started in a recession and passed it right on to Obama. In 2006, Romney instituted "Romneycare" in Massachusetts. 99% of the people are covered by insurance and its still working according to officials of Blue Cross Blue Shield and Forbes Magazine... So it's ok for Romney to back this type of health care plan, but Obama wants it for the nation and you're outraged.
Sounds like a double standard to me.
no obamacare no amnesty.my right to say that, are you saying obama stole that from romey, either way bad idea.just because bush started an economy problem obama should continue it?you can think what you like.

<quoted text>We want a palitable solution. We want fairness and equality. We want something that upholds the law, yet grants those who are here a reasonable path to citizenship without the blanket of absolution called amnesty. If you or I break the law we pay the consequences. Period!
We want the same standard held to those who are breaking our laws by being in this country illegally.
As I said earlier, we, the USofA, have THE MOST liberal immigration policies of ANY country in the world. We dont need to reform our immigration policies, we need to enforce our laws... equally.
Rebel you are well aware of the fact that the immigration laws have had laws added as well as either changed or expired. What has happened from the time of 9/11 to date is legislation has expired. There isn't the money for the amount of enterior enforcement needed to kick undocumented out. Nor is there the will to do that by Government/Business or even the majority of American citizens.
Truth be told we all want fairness and equality in our laws. How is it fair for those that have been here for years raising their American families because the Government had no interest in taking them out. At least when they stay out of trouble and didn't get arrested and found guilty of a fellony. Also keep in mind that it isn't amnesty when one has fines to pay and additional time and expenses to pay before they can even try to become a citizen. They may be legalized but it will cost considerable more for the undocumented and take much longer then for the documented immigrant.
If you or I break the law we wouldn't necesarrily be sent to jail or given a ticket...etc. We do have within our laws the ability to take into consideration the reasons, the situation and the type of person you are and have always been, along with the type of law that was broken. So if you want the same standards given to those that break our laws by coming here undocumented then one can take into consideration the reasons they come and how they have behaved after coming here. I believe that's what the Senate reform bill does. As well as giving documentation it also gives a very narrow road that they can go down if they want to stay and the enforcement to keep most from coming here again once deported.

no obamacare? Somebody forgot to send the memo to Perrywinkle ....

Missouri's secretary of state suggested to Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) that rather than luring businesses to Texas during his trip to Missouri next week, Perry should use the time to explain to tea party lawmakers why he is seeking Obamacare funding.

Where does the path take them?
One has to have already been pardoned prior to becoming a citizen. In the Senate legislation 13yrs before starting the process for the current undocumented.
I'm an American citizen and by your view every American has a vested interest if they are for immigration reform. That would be some 87% of Americans.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/163169/immigration...
Yes I became an American the easy way. I was born one to American parents. It doesn't get any easier then that.
If you think that those that are undocumented can just get in line and get their documentation then you really don't know much about how are immigration laws work.

"do you really think drugs, rape,id theft and everything else will stop when they get here."

I don't really follow that question. Crime won't just stop after those that need documentation gets it. The reason for that is that they aren't the ones doing a lot of the crimes.
Oh and they already are here.

I waited to have children until I was able to afford them so I never qualified for WIC or any other government freebee. When I retired from the Army and returned to my hometown I volunteered as a Spanish language translator for the local hospital and the county court. I actually believed that Latinos were good family oriented hard working people who only wanted their children to have it better than they had it when they grew up. That was before U.S. Stone brought all those illegals into town. After that my volunteer work started to seem more like a full time job. That's where I learned about all the freebees that illegals who have never paid into the system were getting. It sickened me to witness 13 year old girls go through labor and watch a 16 year old mother of three with her eyes swollen shut and her teeth knocked out because her 36 year old boyfriend decided to take his frustrations out on her face. Imagine having to translate for to the abused woman at 2am and then having to translate for the man who beat her up at 10am. After a few years of observing Latinos close up I changed my opinion. I wont translate for them anymore. They are a subhuman species of monkeys. Por la muerte de tu raza!!!
That's rather like a police officer in a bad area of a city that comes to the conclusion that all people are horrible. Instead of realizing that all people are the same which includes the good, bad, kind, hateful..etc..etc.

You should be ashamed of the way your people live. Not just inside Mexico but here in the USA too. No difference whatsoever. The Mexican side of any American town stinks just like ghettos in Mexico. 13 year old girls breastfeeding their babies while their 32 year old babies daddy eats up the cheese she bought with her WIC voucher.
Hey perverts! That food is for the mother! They need it to supplement the calcium they loose while breastfeeding. That's why your women are all hunchbacks and look 60 by the time they are 30. You all are ignorant self destructive monkeys!
He's really good at getting ya'll upset isn't he? That's why he's here and when everyone realizes he isn't what he says he is then he disappears. It's an anti illegal advocate that likes to create trouble and bad feelings about Hispanics.
