While many Iraqis are responsible for this strategic disaster, the administration cannot escape its share of the blame. When President Obama withdrew all U.S. forces from Iraq in 2011, over the objections of our military leaders and commanders on the ground, many of us predicted that the vacuum would be filled by America's enemies and would emerge as a threat to U.S. national security interests. Sadly, that reality is now clearer than ever," said McCain, of Arizona, and Graham, of South Carolina, in a statement.

"Obama withdrew all U.S. forces from Iraq in 2011".

That would be Bush, who signed the agreement.

" a threat to U.S. national security interests".

Translation:

"The oil, we are going to lose the oil".

"[The administration] has sat by and refused to take any meaningful action, while the conflict has claimed more than 130,000 lives, driven a quarter of the Syrian population from their homes, fueled the resurgence of al Qaeda, and devolved into a regional conflict that now threatens our national security interests and the stability of Syria's neighbors, especially Iraq," they said.

Translation:

"We must invade Syria".

Teabaggers wanted to invade Syria, until Obama mentioned we might have to, then they against it.

"Obama wants to start WWIII"

Now that he didn't, teabaggers are for it again.

If they want to "save" a bunch of camel jockeys?

President Obama abruptly changed course on Saturday and postponed a military strike against the Syrian government in retaliation for a chemical weapons attack so he could seek authorization first from a deeply skeptical Congress.

I’m prepared to give that order,” Mr. Obama said in a hurriedly organized appearance in the Rose Garden as American destroyers armed with Tomahawk missiles waited in the Mediterranean Sea.“But having made my decision as commander in chief based on what I am convinced is our national security interests, I’m also mindful that I’m the president of the world’s oldest constitutional democracy.”

Although Congressional leaders hailed his decision to seek the permission of lawmakers who had been clamoring for a say, the turnabout leaves Mr. Obama at the political mercy of House Republicans, many of whom have opposed him at every turn and have already suggested that Syria’s civil war does not pose a threat to the United States.

Even Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, two Republicans who have pressed Mr. Obama to intervene more aggressively in Syria, said Saturday that they might vote no because the president’s plan was too limited.“We cannot in good conscience support isolated military strikes in Syria that are not part of an overall strategy that can change the momentum on the battlefield,” they said in a statement.

Why do these radical conservatives think the president can do something? Obama just got back from another vacation so he had nothing to do with it. He heard about it on the news. MSNBC says it was probably just a few student protests that got out of hand. Kerry can write them a very stern letter telling them they better stop and enclose a few $100miliion and they will be good for a while.

Yes, it was Bush who negotiated a timetable and it was followed by Obama. But, it was up to Hillary to establish a mutually agreeable environment wherein American forces remained. In support of the newly established Iraqi democracy. Do you recall McCain saying that he wouldn't mind having American forces inIraq for 50 years? Ido. I also recall how he was vilified for that statement.

Now, we have al Queda back in Iraq (most progressives claim they were never there, which puts an even worse light on their hero). It was up to Hillary to guide the Iraqis to keep the terrorists at bay. She failed yet again and should be held accountable.
