Point is dude, taking a chit takes time. Bush's Faith Based Charities took two years, and all he was doing was handing out grants to churches.

OFBCI was established by President George W. Bush through executive order on January 29, 2001. Between fiscal years 2003 and 2005, the total dollar amount of all grants awarded to FBOs increased by 21 percent.

yes, preplanned failure. oblunder and reid and pelousy all stated when this fiasco was passed that they wished to have written just a single-payer govt run system like the UK and canada, but failing that the ACA as written (to fail) was an important step to a govt single payer system to cause the shutdown of all private health insurance. I truly encision the 3 of them meeting behind closed doors rubbing their hands gloating everything is going as planned as they go before cameras lamenting the problems they purposeky caused.

The Washington DC ELITE Political Class are not only misguided by self interest and corrupted by the money of 'K-Street' Lawyers.
The WhiteHouse should OFFER the one year 'roll in' delay. The cut outs for 'friends of Obama' have cost him credibility. Now he wants APPLE quality from his ACORN crowd.
With the Democrats and the Republicans smelling the same, the vote trusts neither, and the executive, bribes.

The tax penalties go into effect in 2014, which means, if you’re uninsured for more than three months in 2014, you may incur the tax penalty and that penalty would be applied when you file your 2014 income tax return.

If you don’t qualify for an exemption to the Affordable Care Act’s mandate to purchase qualifying health coverage, then you will be subject to a tax penalty.

The penalty is phased-in over a three year period.

In 2014, the penalty will be the greater of 1.0% of taxable income or $95 per adult and $47.50 per child (up to $285 per family).

In 2015, the penalty will be the greater of 2.0% of taxable income or $325 per adult and $162.50 per child (up to $975 per family).

In 2016, the penalty will be at the greater of 2.5% of taxable income or $695 per adult and $347.50 per child (up to $$2,085 per family).

After 2016, the penalty will be increased annually by the increase to the cost-of-living.

Households with incomes above 400% of FPL will be exempt from paying tax penalties if insurance in their area costs more than 8% of their taxable income, after taking into account employer contributions or tax credits.

People will be able to apply for exemptions to the tax penalty if

they have financial hardships,
religious objections,
if they’re an American Indian,
if they’re uninsured for less than three months,
if they’re an undocumented immigrant,
if they’re incarcerated.
Interesting..........

Even though is it from the evil hitler socialist Obama, the Affordable Care Act does have some good rules.
But the repucklicraps offer no fixes. They only enhance the problems.
If only Obama care ran as smoothly as the Iraq invasion. If only it was as good a law as the Patriot Act. If only it could cost Americans more then the W created Dept of homeland security or the federalIized TSA
All these things are awesome because the inbred genius W created them.
Because Obama is a communist, then this plan can only have been put into place to destroy the fabric of the American culture, thereby allowing communism to take hold and finish off America. Seems like a pretty complex plan for a naive bafoon to pull off. But the tea party moonbats are not smart enough to shut down this Marxist regime from ruining America by basically making insurance companies follow different rules.
So if Obama is soooooo bloody incompetent, then why has he managed to be elected twice, and get his health law passed and have it implemented on schedule even with the ENTIRE GOP committed to his failure in this and every other regard?
Who is really the naive morons in this picture?
Perhaps if only one thing the GOP says about Obama were actually true, then maybe they would be able to stop him.
But since he has been in office he has been accused of
Racism
Being a secret Muslim
Not being and American citizen
Being a communist
Being a blundering idiot
Being an evil mastermind whose every decision is perfectly calculated to destroy America
So far everything the GOP and the Teabag contingent and talk radio and Fox News has accused Obama of being has come to never actually been proven, or has had little if any basis in fact.
The GOP does not care what Obama is. The right wing only wished to make sure this black president never has any success of any kind EVER.
I would like to bring up one small example of this behavior, and that would be the execution of Bin Laden. W started 2 wars costing us billions and killing and maiming hundreds of thousands.
Obama finds Bin Laden and executes him and the cost is 1 helicopter.
And the GOP refuses to congradate the president of the United States on making a tough decision and getting the job done.
They refuse to let this man take any credit for the successes of his presidency simply because he is black.
And in this day and age that is ridiculous.
The GOP will never get a vote from me or my family.
The last douche bag republican I voted for was W. I will never be that stupid again.
Thank you mister Obama and I apologize for the endless parade of lunacy you must endure.

Good rules overshadowed by the fact that it was established to make investors like Soros even wealthier at our expense. If it was so great, why was it MANDATED!!!!

What do you mean "Mandated"? Obamacare is not mandated.
Having health coverage is.
Wasn't the GOP all upset just a few years ago because stupid poor people would go see a doctor or go to the hospital and then not pay their ridiculously inflated bills because they had no healthcare?
I believe this very issue is what started the GOP/TEA party calling some Americans "takers"?
How else would it be possible to insure more Americans without offering better coverage plans, more inclusive rules, and penelties for not having insurance?
The problems in the American healthcare system have been documented by both parties. But since this is "Obamacare" and not "Romneycare" it must fail.
My real question is wouldn't it be better to improve on Obama's plan and actually help Americans, rather then the constant daily touting of the disastrous nature of the ACA?
the GOP managed to make invading Iraq seem like a good idea. Surely they could work slightly less hard to make Obamacare a benefit to Americans who need it. But instead it is they who refuse to compromise, and actually fix the problems with the law.
They have clearly identified every conceivable problem with the ACA, Could we maybe talk about how hey plan to make work correctly?
No we can't. Because the GOP is CLEARLY NOT INTERESTED IN HELPING AMERICA. Their only concern is hurting the president of the United States.
Frankly I'm kinda sick of all of their policies, strategies, and generally bullshit attitude. The GOP sucks.

Duh! Obamacare IS INSURANCE, not HEALTHCARE! And yes, IT IS mandated. Forced to be purchased by those who the gubmint decides don't qualify for exemption. If Odumbo had been more that an investor's puppet, he may have not been so enthusiastic to sign his John Henry to a flawed law. Pride goeth before the fall......

Wait until it is time to PAY those monthly insurance premiums.

Then pay down the deductible.

Then pay 40% of the medical bill that is not covered by insurance.

Only the very, very, very sick people actually come out ahead.

Everyone else who is relatively healthy is going to pay out a whole lot and get VERY LITTLE in return.

All valid points.
So why isn't the GOP Working on solutions to the problems?
I realize the main problem is its totally flawed. But they tried to repeal, they tried to defund, and bottom line is the law is here. It is time for the GOP to make this horrible law that our country is stuck, work correctly.
Surely a brilliant genius like Rand Paul could whip out 2 pages of legislation that would correct many of Obamacare's little problems. Then we would get to call it Randcare.
Wouldn't this be a better road for the GOP?
Instead of being the party that can't stop Obama,
They could the party that fixes Obama's mistakes and helps Americans.
Did you notice Ted Cruz's little fake speech to no one mentioned "green eggs and ham"
You do realize that is a story about someone who believes he absolutely hates something he has never tried. But when he finally does try it, He realizes it is delicious!!!
Doesn't that seem a bit odd??? Or perhaps totally crazy?
I'm not going to say Obamacare is awesome. I am going to say the principal is sound, reform is NECESSARY, and greatest government in the world can't make it happen because they are all acting like a bunch is stupid babies.
The GOP strategy of Obama must fail at all costs is not really a good idea. Maybe if we all turned off Glenn rush and fox for 48 hours we would all feel differently about healthcare reform.
I'm just saying think about like a grownup occasionally and it could be fixed and beneficial to the country. You still hate Obama, but he is the president.
Sorry moonbats. Still better then Romney.
But wouldn't a good GOP. Candidate for president be the guy who fixed Obamacare and saved the USA from ruin?

(CBS News) CBS News has uncovered a serious pricing problem with HealthCare.gov . It stems from the Obama administration's efforts to improve its health care website. A new online feature can dramatically underestimate the cost of insurance.

The administration announced it would provide a new "shop and browse" feature Sunday, but it's not giving consumers the real picture. In some cases, people could end up paying double of what they see on the website, CBS News' Jan Crawford reported Wednesday on "CBS This Morning."
