War-mongrel McCain, doesn't know when to quit !!

It is time for Karzai to step up to the plate and run his country WITHOUT our soldiers.

We trained and armed Afghan soldiers. Now it is time for THEM to defend their own country !

McCain told reporters after the meeting that he'd warned Karzai that failure to sign the Bilateral Security Agreement could see Afghanistan repeat the experience of Iraq.

"We don't want to see what happened in Iraq, where we won the war but lost the peace," McCain said.

Does anyone believe that is not going to happen anyway. We never learn from history.

The Soviet Union's exit strategy was to transfer the burden of fighting to the Afghan armed forces, with the aim of preparing them to operate without Soviet help. During this phase, the Soviet contingent was restricted to supporting the Afghan forces by providing artillery, air support and technical assistance. Under Soviet guidance, the Afghan armed forces were built up so they could take over the fight.

The Soviets pulled out in 1989 but continued to support the Afghan government until 1992 after they stopped supporting them Kabul fell to the mujahideen in 1992.

Why do you expect anything any different, they will stand as long as they can suck up enough US dollars and aid we can't support them forever and eventually when we stop they will fall.

This is how barock turned arab spring to winter.

The Marshall Plan helped turn post war enemies to allies. It was considered a huge financial gamble at the time. We should be closing bases in old Europe and using our military and diplomatic strength where it will reap the most benefit for us and the world. The Germans can pay for their own defense.

barock's surrender on all fronts has emboldened al qaeda, and demoralized our troops, allies, and citizens.
