The Assad regime dares only to attack from the air. They know the opposition fighters cant reach them. They will not dare to fight face to face with the opposition fighters, as the Assad soldiers know that they will be slaughtered.

You would have to convince the SAA to leave the safety of the civilian houses that they punch holes in childrens bedroom walls to shoot through, they are not successful at gorilla warfare, they are cowards that use tanks, helicopters, jets and snipers.

The only thing the SAA do in the open is drive away or run.

Without there heavy weapons/artillery tons of ammo and air force the Assad forces would have lost long ago.

Yeah, these guys think the SAA are soooo brave with the heavy artillary, jets, tanks and helicopters, however they are still loosing and the Rebels are gaining in numbers. Did they forget the defection is at an all time high and just a matter of time when there will be more SAA on the Rebel side than on the SAA side.

The SAA are just fortuanate that the Rebels to have a humanitarian side and do not use the helicopters they have captured to blow areas to bits.

Interesting fact:

A Serbian double agent and Nazi nemesis informed J Nancypants Hoover that the Japanese were planning to attack Pearl Harbor months in advance and he blew it off (amongst other things).

That same agent went on to purposely misinform the Germans that D Day was planned for Calais, making Normandy a success.

That agent's name was Duslan Popov.

Almost forgot. Popov was also the inspiration for Ian Fleming's 007.
