Yea, we gotta help China get all that Canadian Oil. We don't care how high gas prices go here in the USA, as long as China gets low prices. Who cares if it's an environmental disaster? We should be willing to take the risk so oil barons can make more money.

How hot does that toxic sludge have to be before it can be pumped through the pipeline?

Can anyone imagine the air around any refinery
that refines that garbage? But, no problema,
Texans love the smell of hot, boiling,
tar-sands sludge. Next to ripe cow sh*t, it's
their favorite. The ladies love it.

Veto them. We don't need temporary jobs, massive spills, and more revenues for Canada when they sell the oil abroad.

About the Kalamazoo tar sands spill:

Tar sands are like hot liquid sandpaper, corroding pipelines faster and risking oil spills along the route. A tar sands spill near rivers, lakes, and other water bodies causes much more harm than a conventional oil spill because tar sands oil can sink and seriously complicate cleanup efforts.

Shortly after the spill, people in the vicinity began reporting “strong, noxious odors and associated health symptoms.” According to a 2010 report by the Michigan Department of Community Health, in the weeks after the spill, health officials identified 145 patients who reported illness or symptoms associated with the leak. As of spring 2012, the cleanup is continuing with nearly 400 acres identified as having a significant amount of submerged tar sands oil. Its cost is estimated at $725 million.

Hey, what could go wrong?

Great Post!!!!!

I agree 100%.

We the People won; we placed the only qualified guy in the White House (for a 2nd time) that we wanted who we deemed to make all of the decisions on what’s a go and what’s not.
After his brilliant leadership led to the killing of Osama bin Laden the American people fully trust all of his decisions and we don’t want to hear anything from the idiot right-wingers who had 9-11 and Katrina happen on their watch.

DiamondFlo(TM) displaced a significant quantity of the adhered oil from tar sand samples in the initial feasibility tests. Work is now underway to define the precise degree of oil removal and to optimize the oil removal process using DiamondFlo(TM).

The Canadian Tar Sands Tar sands is a common name of what are more properly called bituminous sands, but also commonly referred to as oil sands or (in Venezuela) extra-heavy oil. By comparison, Saudi Arabia has proven reserves of 262 billion barrels of oil. A primary difficulty in developing the Tar Sands region is extraction. The oil does not flow as crude from other oil producing regions but is more akin to a molasses-like sand. Separation of oil from the sands is the major challenge to development.

Why is it when Republicans lose they still get to ram-rod all their crap through? They always pull this crap! They don't like it--keep wearing the people down and even threaten or black-mail- they'll do what ever it takes to keep their big business buddies happy. How many times do they bring up DOMA or the deufnding of the Affordable Health Care Act. You'd think they won in a landslide because they keep hammering away at the same old chit. This is just another example of thier attitude of they know better than the voting public. Get rid of all Republicans in 2014!
