He murdered two people and tried to kill a third, but that's ok, because some idiot insulted him so he shouldn't be punished. WTF.

CNN plays on words, crap journalism, it's only a reprieve...Buck is attempting to buck the system by playing the race card. From what Iíve gathered odds are heíll be executed for the murders he committed. Yes there will be protests there always are but once heís terminated they quickly pack up the lawn chairs, the signs, the coolers and the circus moves on to the next town.

So, race was a factor in convicting him? It couldn't have had anything to do with the two murders & one attempt he committed, could it? To hell with him, quit squandering tax dollars on this waste of oxygen.

The article said that race was brought up at sentencing NOT as evidence at trial.

Quit making extraordinary claims without proof, Bungholio.

An overwhelming majority of Texas citizens are for capital punishment and Hispanics make up the majority of the population there so it's not racist in the context that you claim. Nobody's protesting the white minority prisoners being executed in Texas. Yeah, that's right, Caucasian is officially the new minority according to the last census.

Semantics. This waste of air and food killed two people. Boo-hoo if some grand wizard klansman, backwoods inbred moron with a degree from Talladega Tech thought he was predisposed to violence. You won't catch me shedding a tear for him.

US supreme court should house him at Gitmo while they consider over riding the state's court.
Texas called the case toast. Let the DoJ foot the bill.

"We are relieved that the U.S. Supreme Court recognized the obvious injustice of allowing a defendant's race to factor into sentencing decisions and granted a stay of execution to Duane Buck," Kate Black, one of Buck's attorneys, said. "No one should be put to death based on the color of his or her skin. We are confident that the court will agree that our client is entitled to a fair sentencing hearing that is untainted by considerations of his race."

They (District Attorney) should have known better!
