Oh ain't this something. Here we have a case where the guy is guilty but because someone made an improper statement. Perry is going to stay the execution so we don't execute a guilty black man who some say should have got life in prison instead of death. However he has no problem executing a white man who was innocent in the first place. When asked about it Perry said that I did not execute an innocent man I executed a convicted man, who is a wife beater. We know he did not commit arson and he was never arrested for beating his wife so he probably did not do that either. Little is a man who cannot admit his mistakes.
The innocent man was William Scott Cunningham. The guy was executed for arson where his children were killed. Only problem is every fire expert in the country who reviewed the case said it was not arson in the first place, it was an accidental fire, Cunningham was the victim of incompetence in investigation and junk science presented to a jury. The guy was innocent because there was no murder in the first place. There have been several stories on it and Frontline has a good documentary about it. The worst part is that Perry will still not admit it. It is bad enough to execute a man who is innocent but you have to be morally bankrupt to deny you did anything wrong.
Perry had the information to postpone the execution, but he did not want to look soft on crime in the Texas Governorís race Cunningham died to make Perry look tough on crime. And people want to make this guy President, you think the Obama people will not dredge this up after the candidates are set.

If you are a perry supporter you should read one of those links before you put your foot in your mouth.
