Has it occurred to anyone that the reason for the Joint Forces Command closure it due to Governor McDonnell opposing the Health Care Reform Bill? Our great "puppet master", Mr. O and his cronies are behind this. No one dares to go against Obama without retribution.
The last person to sign off on the recommendation is the president. But why is it so hard to accept that this is a republican conservative venture. State such as Virginia try so hard to seem as if they are supporting their citizens. Take away the fed, reduce spending in the fed and on and on. Then the cuts start to happen and at best, they simply hope that the cut happens in another state. mcDonnell cut 2 million off of Va's budget; the dod is proposing to cut 1 billion. That's savings.
Give the people exactly what they ask for, nothing less. Sure it will cripple 6-7 surrounding cities in Va and before you know it, Northern Virginia will separate from the rest of Va because they are tired of contributing to something and not getting back, what they have put in. Due to the fact that the rest of Va isn't pulling their weight.
McDonnell has been anti-conservative since he implemented longer sentences for drugs, dogfighting and a number of other crimes that used to carry 1-5 year sentences.....it costs 1 million dollars to care for a life sentenced inmate. How many does Va have? 8,938. Which comes to almost 9 billion dollars. And we are somehow comfortable with this. Furthermore, we have 30-50,000 felons that we don't want to employ but we won't restore their rights, in order, for them to live a productive life. Can we ask for the things that we ask for and not pay the costs? Republican or Democratic, there are no political differences; just a bunch a lawyers that recognize an easy job that doesn't require much effort. if you make an effort, it is career suicide. America is filled with a bunch of bi-polar citizens that cannot and will not understand the grounds of group complaint. No president has ever been the problem, it's the millions of people that voice their opinions. There should be a litmus test for potential voters.
