It's environmental nut-jobs like this that we can't drill for our own oil, right here on our own land. These people keep us dependent on foreign oil, and force companies to drill off-shore. And we now see the effects of their short-sided "help".

Any oil we drill for now is not our 'own'. All the world's oil goes for sale on the world market. Since we produce such a small percentage of the world supply, we do not have an impact on overall prices or supply.

It's uneducated people that think we keep what we drill that promote making this fossil fuel problem worse. We need to get off of all fossil fuels with alternate forms of energy. This alternate energy we would get to keep for ourselves. As a bonus, we would be able to tell the Arab world off!

So,'SirRantsAlot', since you support keeping what we produce, it appears as though you support wind and solar energy. Welcome fellow environmentalist.

Why aren't these LIBBIES in D.C. protesting the fact that the OBAMMIE Administration gave this very oil rig an AWARD ten days before it blew up??

Elliot the oil here in America does NOT go on the world market. It is drilled and refined by the oil company itself, like BP,or Shell, Chevron etc. The World market that you refer to is where our import oil comes from, then it is refined here and sold. Nice play on words.

When you libbies stop using oil so will we. When alternate energy is capable then great. Truth is it's not yet reliable. Meanwhile get a mop and head to Florida.

Its not the Libbies that you should be concerned with, its the republican nut jobs that keep government from regulating the industry. This is wholly a fault of the republicans who consistently opine that all is well in corporate america and they should be rewarded with big fat bonuses for screwing america and driving the good ole USA into the ditch. Sammy, if you don't mind, don't ask government for a d*amn thing even if you need it.

You should be SLOWER to speak. Regulating??? How about addressing the real issue. REWARDING!!! As stated TEN (10) days before it blew, the oil rig was given an award by the current liberal structure. The corporate america has been AWARDED BAILOUT AFTER BAILOUT by you guessed it the current liberal losers. And lets talk about the GIVE ME's handed out to pass a garbage junk in the trunk Health Care bill.

Just what is your fair share of what someone else worked for?? The last time you rubbed a calus you were shaking another mans hand. The only thing I will ask from my Government is to follow the Constitution, I do. You CAN'T. Can't wait till November.
