Strickland has been the biggest crybaby I have ever seen in politics.
I am surprized by not only his behavior but even some of his supporters.
Remember Miriam Harris who he appointed to the Ohio School Board of Education, but forgot to process the paperwork? Yeah she wants to be entitled to that position, but her party is not in power.
And yes, the Ohio Black Caucus that is unfairly using racist tactics and complaining who Kasich has appointed.
More of Ted's crying. I hope he goes to DC and heads up the DNC. The Dems will take another notch back and be out of power for 30 years.
Go for it Ted, make America proud.

I just saw a poll from the public policy institute last week that Strickland is polling 15 points ahead of Kasich in a theoretical rematch. LOL!

Companies aren't like major sports teams, they don't just pack up and leave over night. These companies were planning to leave long before Strickland become governor, they just didn't make it public because that would hurt business. Moving an entire corporation takes years and years of planning. Remember that Repubs ruled this state for 16 years before Strickland had it for 4. So if you want to look at these LONG-TERM problems, remember who to blame. We're all frustrated and upset with what happened to our economy, and it seems Strickland has made a pretty good scapegoat for some of us.
It does not take years and years to move a company. I know of a large corporation that moved within a 2 month period, including the time it took them to decide to move. That is not an accurate argument...try again.

Gee, being in the deep pockets of the Unions (trumpka the communist) does have its rewards. Too bad, Strickland couldn't do anything positive for the average tax paying Ohioan - oh forgot, unless they belonged to a union - that is. Paybacks are a .....- hope you can sleep at night knowing what a crook you are Strickland! You deserve nothing but to go back home and actually work.... for your living for a change.....you socialist
Just rember when your recieving all those benefits when you hit age 65 who the socialist is you idiot. I believe this one says it all 'social' security ! so shut your mouth you tax paying Ohioan and rember unionized folks like myself work for pensions not handouts like you. And seeing how I served my country I think you better stop those communist comments about my union brother. It sounds like you need to get some balls and form a union were you work or are you scared?
and lets talk about crooks the new govenor is selling Ohio to the highest bidder and can not tell me or you were the money is going whose the crook. Also it seems the people who are benefitting from these sales are the same people who contributed to his campaign, smells like someone got bought off and by the way it was not Ted.

His backing of President Obama cost him the election. He placed Ohio second to his party so he should move up to chair the DMC.
He would have lost anyway. This wasn't a pro-repub election, it was a anti-dem election, he would have been looking for work anyway. Look on the bright side, he won't be hanging around the state house with nothing to do.

What great accomplishments did Mr. Strickland make during his governor's term that would make him eligible for this position. Does anyone have a clue without the bashing?
He did allow up 47000 illegal immigrants to license vehicles so they could drive to jobs they were not suppose to have, does that count?

The election results were provided courtesy of Karl Rove and his deceitful fund raising and smear campaign against all democrats including Ted Strickland and Lee Fisher. The republicans claim the high ground, but the campaign strategists are sleazy, snakes in the grass.

From February 2010 until last month, Ohio’s unemployment rate went from 10.6% to 9.2%, a 12-month 1.4% decrease. During that time, Ohio GAINED 77,600 jobs. The number of unemployed has dropped 82,000. The number of unemployed has dropped 82,000. So, most of the drop in unemployment can be attributed to people finding work, not people dropping out of the labor market.- From the Ohio February Jobs Report
Obviously not good enough, but much better than before and much better than many other states.
That "400,000 jobs" was just campaign propaganda from manipulated statistics, which was pointed out by many different fact checking organizations.
Wow! You just made up stats to fit your arguement! No beating that, because no matter what is said you'll just make up stuff to make yourself sound correct. Bottom line, the voters spoke and the governor is doing what he said he would do, and all the made-up statistics don't change that. That said, I wish Ted the best- and like he told me on the phone yesterday "let's hope this guy can turn things around".

Dwight, if it makes you feel better blame it on Karl Rove. Ignore the "real" problem, the dems lost over 675 state seats, over 20 dems have switch to repubs since election, and now 21 states have repub controlled senates, houses or assemblies, and governor.
The first step in solving a problem is to identify the problem and the dems problem is the dems. such repudiation at a national level and they still don't want to admit it.
What will they blame it on in 2012?

Great post with facts. Liberals cannot handle the truth.

2012 is going to set the dems back 40 years.

They are left-leaning, but they often cite proof with their stories and link to actual copies of official documents, like state budgets and salary reports. So they do have some credibility. More than the Dispatch sometimes
