Sen.Webb is correct. The longer he can put off the Vietnam Vets the less it will cost to help them out as cancer and heart diease are quickly eleminating his problem.

Sen. Webb's concern is that the new presumptives are simply the diseases of an aging 'boomer' population. However, an alarming amount of us started experiencing these diseases 20-30 years ago.

The heart disease's the Viet Nam Vets have are way before the time they should be expierencing them. Our Fathers did not have these problems till in their seventies and we have had to face them in our forties and fifties. It all boils down to money. We always have enough to take care of Wall Street and auto companies but seems there is always a problem when it comes to taking care of our veterans. I believe Sen. Webb is looking out for the veterans of his family to pass such a large education bill for those vets. Perhaps because they are larger in number and soon enough time will pass and most of the Viet Nam vets will have passed with it. The five air medals I have and the other awards don't mean a whole lot. Senator Webb should be ashamed to call himself a Viet Nam Veteran.

Nam vet that has all the symtoms of the heart and was hospitalized in country (Vietnam) for high fever uncontrolled vomitting from a direct spray from overhead incountry SSA Dr found I had heart problems back in 1980's and have been turned down for PTSD, Cancer, maybe this will wake someone up!
All Biopsies that I have had come back with damaged cells, but each time I file I am turned down. Time for the military to come clean and pay those of us that went and came home to be called baby killers!
I have 2 different kinds of cancer, was on SSA and had to prove that I was sprayed with these chemicals and drew 3 years of avg
$500. a year for Agent Orange.

I read where one vet described being contaminated by AO. He said he could see the orange liquid dripping from the trees onto his unit.
hmmmm Agent Orange isn't ORANGE. Anyone know WHY it's called 'AO'?

NOT making light of the vets suspected of AO poisoning, so don't try going there.

Viet nam vet 1966 & 1967 here.
