Why is it that Mr. Trump never mentions the actual issue behind it all? His issue is disrespecting the flag and the military which is not only false but demagoguery plain and simple.

It doesn't matter what the President says or does, his supporters will still support him, because they believe in him, and because it bugs the hell out of his detractors. We love it when they jump up, and down, and do their dance. OMG, they are so fun to watch!!

Trump's a POS failure.

The woman is lying, and everyone knows it. It is just that the military loves President Trump, and the Democrats found someone that would lie about the President, and are using her. So sad. The military did not like Obama, and you can see it in every photo he had taken with military personnel.

Even if he did says that, it was supposedly followed by "it still hurts anyway". I really don't see anything other than sympathy for the loss there. Trump never had to call anyone. He did anyway.

Sorry, but I see someone letting herself be convinced that there's evil intent because it serves a political agenda. She doesn't have to prove otherwise, but credibility is a thing that is very much driven by context. This is as bogus an attempt at logic as "it's rape if she feels like it was rape"

I'd go to bat for the victim in most cases, but this is like the couple who went on stage at a campaign function to talk about their son's sacrifice. It taints the memory of their children and the sense of honor they strove for to bicker over semantics. And the political bias shrieks out to the average citizen who isn't taking sides. Don't try to cash in on the death of your children.

Just don't do it.

The President chose this fight, because he knew his supporters love it when he is Patriotic, and shows love of country.

The President proves it to Americans every day. People like you, and your don't really count. You are just a bunch of sore losers. You are going to keep losing until you become somewhat civilized.

Trump's support among the military is waning. The leaders have finally realized that Trump is an empty-headed, dangerous buffoon. They are already defying his orders.

I take great notice at the accidents and reports of bad morale in the Pacific fleet. It sound more like the military is running on a tight budget than anything else. That's a Congress problem.

Consider the state of Europe at the beginning of WW2. France had a heavy investment in numbers and fortifications while England had a small but disciplined force. Strategically, Britain also had a water barrier and time to build up a force. France had good machines but poorly deployed and draftees who didn't want to fight for their government. Who paid the highest price?

What is more to our benefit? Water barrier? Got one! Small, disciplined forces? Not so much.

We're still being the world's policemen. We've been told to go home. We've been told to pay for a zillion things to buy loyalty. We need to stop trying to be a superpower in a world without a super villain and focus on the alliances that have meaning. We've wasted money and lives on people who don't give a r@t's @$$ about democracy.

Food for thought. On the other hand, nationalism is the greater danger.

Clearly, President Trump is right to consider the NFL and private organization but not National Football organization which means that NFL should pay taxes like private company. Enough is enough with NFL Gurrilas trashing our flag and Anthem. Boycott NFL!
