N.M. horse owners want 'humane' slaughterhouse
Albuquerque, N.M.-- A group of horse owners and clubs is urging the governor to support a proposed horse slaughterhouse in Roswell, saying the closing of domestic facilities five years ago has caused "needless suffering under the cruelest of conditions." Let's make it islamic, that's the rage now with govt. (feds that is). Halal slaughtering means slitting the throat and slowly bleeding the animal to death, that's more humane.

Halal slaughtering means that the animal can be revived in perfect condition at any point in the slaughter process up until the actual slaughter.
Some halal slaughterhouses do stun their food, but only so that should the slaughter not happen, they can revive the animal perfectly. Unlike the Western system that condemns the animal to death permanently once stunned.
