The military could face liability for tainting water during rocket and missile testing, since the standard will force water agencies around the country to clean up the pollution.

Good grief! Now there is rocket fuel in our water? Who would have known? One wonders what door this will open to some other manner of oversight. A tax for the clean-up? A fee for water usage? Perhaps a surcharge on our water bills? No federal announcement operates in a vacuum. It simply leads to a series of incomprehensible and ultimately self-serving regulations, requirements, and, of course, new sources of revenue for the various levels of government.

Anything promoted for health and safety, security, or "for the children" is bound to have a hefty price tag attached to it.

Our water in the San Luis Valley sucks. Of course the water in most of Colorado sucks. All those 19th century mines and all that arsenic and mercury dumped into the aquifer.

My well is 300' deep. Even down there the water is heavy with iron and sulphur. I use it to shower with and for my washer & dishwasher. Any water for consumption for me and my dog is distilled water from the supermarket.

If you're concerned about your water, no matter where you live in the US, call your county and ask if they offer free water contaminant testing. Most do.

Why are all these chemicals legal to use in our water and foods? Chemicals cause illnesses that run up health care costs. Chemicals should not be legal to use in products for consumption of humans or animals. You must also look at drug manufactures using chemicals that in many cases cause more harm than the drug is being use to help. If our government was not so corrupt maybe chemicals would be illegal.

Chemical companies sell products to make profits to put into products and drugs for consumption to make people ill so they can seek health care that is in business to make profits and to help with the costs of health care people purchase insurance which is in business to make profits.
Why do our corrupt legislatures allow chemicals to be put into products for consumption? You are right to make profits by means of contributions and high paid speeches to there companies and employees.
Around and around we go.

It is not free. Tax dollars pay for it. Pay for the testing yourself or else you are a socialist!

The article says the chemical in question is "perchlorate". It also says the chemical is used in fireworks. If they wanted to ban fireworks over this, that'd be just hunky-dorry with me.

So our rocket scientists are going to have to clean up their act as goes water pollution...if the EPA is correct in their scientific presumptions. The thing that really bothers me here, is that the left & EPA are trying to orchestrate perchlorate as one of many chemicals causing "global warming".

Red flag! Red flag! Red flag!

Typical headline grabbing insanity of the American Left trying to use more false information to terrorize the American public. Sorry, idjuts... The chemical in question is a naturally occurring chemical.

This is simply more Left wing lunacy attempting to validate its entrenched position in the Information Ministry.

The government fires rockets of one kind or another in about a half dozen states out of 50 and this is a national problem? I don't think so.

Leave it to obama to create a crisis and then try to take advantage.
