There are 1429 comments on the Oklahoma Impact Team story from Jun 24, 2010, titled Oklahoma Senator On Global Warming: I've Been Vindicated. In it, Oklahoma Impact Team reports that:

U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe recently told a town hall meeting in Perry that his stubborn belief that global warming is a hoax is turning out to be correct, and there's proof that the science has been cooked.

Inhofe is to be commended for his stand against Gore and the IPCC who have cooked the raw data to show global warming; yes, the temperature in central England has gone up as attested by the longest , continuous temperature record they have kept for the past 350 years but it was essentially a linear increase of only 1.64 deg F per century and there is absolutely no correlation with the increase in global levels of CO2 ! Look at the altered temp records in Darwin, Australia and the elimination of temp monitoring stations in Canada and the far north as well as stations at higher elevations; eliminating these stations caused an artificial jump in average recorded global temps, a clear attempt to falsify the raw temp data to support their failed "science" ; All 23 models run by the IPCC assume, without justification, that the climate sensitivity parameter has positive feedback from water vapor but recent peer reviewed papers make it almost certain that there is negative feedback which makes their results in error. Further, the Pacific islands are gaining area and are not being flooded as the IPCC would have you believe.

Hi everyone, in my first comment I erred by saying that there had been an increase of 1.64 deg F per century in the central England temperature record, this should have stated that there was a 1.64 deg F increase in 350 years or 0.469 deg F per century, sorry about that.

Uh, okay professor I'm no math whiz but by my cheesy calculalations, 1.64 warmer is 1.64 warmer.
You didn't offer an answer to the other poster so I'm still wondering... the ice caps aren't melting?

It's a constant cycle. An ice age is after the warming.

Inhofe is nothing but a shameless prostitute bought off cheap by Big Oil & Gas. Next we'll hear from him how dolphins and manatees like breathing BP crude.

I think the climatic data over the years shows that the Senator is dead wrong
in the coming years ahead- the increasing lethal amount C02 and other gases will play even more havoc on the planet.

By then the Senator will be grouped along with the same deniers who thought the earth and not the sun was the center of the solar system.

Unlike BP, there is still no Inhofetard escrow account with his accomplice,“‘Yes, we plead guilty to promoting ‘inaction’—‘Skeptics will proudly celebrate the collapse of Copenhagen Treaty’.... Climate Depot takes full responsibility for the fate of your children and grandchildren from any future man-made climate catastrophe”(“Australian PM warns skeptics ‘are too ‘dangerous to ignore’ and are ‘holding the world to ransom’”, By Marc ‘Eskimo cyst’ Morano, Climate Depot Editorial”; editorial abuse by Joseph D’Aleo, ExxonMobil approved TV weather presenter aka another pseudo-scientist; icecap.us, 11/6/09). What the sun will do next is beyond our ability to predict. Most astronomers think that the solar cycle will proceed but at significantly depressed levels of activity, similar to those last seen in the 19th century. However, there is also evidence that the sun is inexorably losing its ability to produce sunspots. By 2015, they could be gone altogether, plunging us into a new Maunder minimum and perhaps a new Little Ice Age.
http://www.impactlab.com/2010/06/22/sunspot-a...

Lack of sunspot activity has the scientists baffled ... It seems the sun is not cooperating with their "computer models" ... hmmm ... where have we heard this before?

So now we may be headed for another "little ice age"?... Gee ... maybe we need to study a bit more before we spend billions needlessly?
Maybe a little extra CO2 could mitigate a colder climate?

I'm with the Senator - the planet's temperature fluctuations are too large to be man-caused; thermodynamics 101 will tell anyone that. Our atmosphere is the control surface and space only accepts energy in the form of EM radiation, not heat.

If the sun changes even 0.1% of its total output, it would completely account for the planet's variations. Everyone knows the sun doesn't operate at perfect steady state.

It's time that this piece of bull waste to rest once and for all.

The only reason I judged your comment as "clueless" is because there isn't an option for d-u-m-b-a-s-s.

Here's the evidence.

We have most notable scientists in the world agreeing that there is a warming phenomonon and a grade school grad can deduce that human beings are somehow genetically programed to destroy thwmselves...maybe it's magic and not genetics?

Even if Inhofe didn't take a corporate stand on every issue including warming, he is so out to lunch in almost every issue that doesn't require "faith" as an answer. The proponderance of the evidence would clearly say.

Inhofe is an ignorant hick and has long been an embarrassment to Oklahoma....but then who voted for him? Doesn't say much for the bible belt crowd does it?

Why don't you make note that the only sources which continue to hold on to the global warming theory, have a financial, or political stake in the issue. If a group which doesn't have a financial stake (Stanford??? C'mon!) or political stake (NASA, financially dependent on each admin in power. Get real!) would back up the theory, that would be something.
