CO2 makes my Coke nice and fizzy. I love it. Want a lot more of it.

More to the point, what is the CO2 content of the sap. Nil in fact.
So plant's don't move CO2 with sap, like we move oxygen with blood. I guess that's why they don't move.

The plants actively move CO2 to the chloroplasts (C4 more than C3) to convert it to sugar and oxygen since they cannot use the CO2 for anything.
Isn't converting CO2 into sugar and oxygen enough? What do you want, artificial coloring and flavors?

In fact, CO2 loose on it's own will fight photosynthesis by the mechanism of 'photorespiration'(mainly in C3 plants) which is why C3 plants are less productive.
Good things plants evolved to use CO2, we wont' harm them by emitting more.

But plants DO require oxygen which IS transported by the sap. It is the CO2 that is trapped by the Rubisco and moved to the chloroplasts where it can be detoxified.

They don't move in terms that they don't have muscles thoguh some plants DO move by vascualar pressure (mimosa, flytrap, etc)

Rather irrelevant to the issue of what they need to sustain their metablism.

Well, I am glad that you finally see that it isn't the PLANT using CO2 but a 'raw resource' to the photosynthesis apparatus of the chloroplasts (photosynthesizing bacteria, incorporated into the plant by evolution as a 'symbiote').

The plant has to expend energy to protect itself from the CO2 and deliver it to the chloroplast. Something that it does in order to benefit from the oxygen and glucose produced (which are energy rich and provide the necessary motivation for this whole mess.

Ooops. Nope you lost it again. Plants don't use CO2. They have NO use for it. They even have to protect themselves from the toxic effect of 'photorespiration' which degrades the benefits they obtain from the purely photochemical recycling of CO2 by the chloroplasts.

Lots of plants don't even have chloroplasts but they still are able to use the common oxygen and find energy rich nutrients in other ways. It is only the green plants that have the symbiosis with photosynthesizing bacterial that allows them to detoxify CO2 and recycle it's components.
