"The year was 1968; I was living with my brother in Houston, but had gone to visit my mother in West Texas for the summer.

I read an old issue of National Geographic today and it said there was still 81 thousand MIA/POW'S still unaccounted for. I was thinking when I read this...how very said that so many will never know what happened to their son..brother..dad.
I think it's so wonderfull to give all these brave hero's a welcome home they deserve.

Imo, after the parade, they should all be given $100,000 awards for the hell and abuse they have gone through!
The Russian refugees were given that much for nothing!

WOW, Who stuck a corncob up your bootie? I don't have facts...estimates... I said I read a back issue of National Geographic. This magazine is in exam room 2 at Dr.Burns office. If you want to read it.The casuality list was also for France..Italy...etc...etc.. also not just American POW's/MIA'S.
My point is that these Vietnam servicemen/women not only deserve a parade to welcome them home but they are Hero's as well.
Our military servicemen/women today are also hero's in my eyes. We have the greatest and bravest men and women who give their all just so you and I can be safe in this great nation. There's a saying that goes.....Jesus Christ and the American Soldier give their life up for us. I am very thankfull for this. I don't understand why you have to get all snotty just because I wrote what I read when the bottom line is...The Vietnam Soldier is truly an American Hero.

I am willing to bet you hate the national debt? Do you place equal importance on soldiers that have fought other wars?

Stupid grandstanding by an unelectable State Rep with too much time on his hands, my opinion.
Honor Vietnam vets by voting against incumbents, voting out the Democrat/Moaist socialists (a la Obama) who deliberately lost the Vietnam conflict.
Honor all Vets by cleaning up the VA Hospital system.
Let's also get together against children smoking, and have rallies to keep the Bible in our schools and-- uggh- yeah, let's ban teenage pregnancy.
Hey Congress Person! How about having a rally to get rid of the illegal aliens sucking the welfare to bankruptcy? How about closing the Mexican border down so drugs and dirtbags aren't pouring across it every day by the billions?
Do something that means something or we'll vote you out! How 'bout them apples?
And Mr. Chandler, how about honoring yourself by electing officials in Cherokee County and Anderson County who aren't corrupt. How about that?
How about honoring your service and your country after the parade by getting rid of the parasites your tax dollars go to the State pensions of?
Want some names? Go look at some of the pukes you invited... they'd make good members of the Viet Cong.
