It's not just that but the intolerance of contrasting views to the point of exclusion that refutes the 'scientific basis' of global warming. You can't call yourself a scientist if your mind is closed.

Isn't this how the scientific process works? You decide what you want the results to be. Then alter the data and formulas to fit. Then get publicity and the politicians behind you. Then you get funding to continue the hoax.
Along the way you work hard to keep any other points of view out of the media and discredit anyone who disagrees with you.
This happened with Wegener and Continental Drift Theory. Alfred Wegener was the scientist who championed the Continental Drift Theory through the first few decades of the twentieth century. Since his ideas challenged scientists in geology, geophysics, zoogeography and paleontology, it demonstrates the reactions of different communities of scientists. The reactions by the leading authorities in the different disciplines was so strong and so negative that serious discussion of the concept stopped. One noted scientist, the geologist Barry Willis, seemed to be speaking for the rest when he said:

"further discussion of it merely incumbers the literature and befogs the mind of fellow students."

also: "If we are to believe in Wegener's hypothesis we must forget everything which has been learned in the past 70 years and start all over again."

why can't we just understand that the world is in a constant evolution. Next thing you know they blame the earth quakes on the oil drilling because it throw's the earth out of balance. once a day we all fly 10 ft in the air from the wobbling of the earth on it's axis

Punch in Earth Day 1970 on your PC, check out all the dire scientific predictions that never came true, and compare them to the inflamed rhetoric bouncing around today, and it may open your eyes ever so slightly to the fact that "scientific predictions" are very often wrong.

According to their data, global starvation was eminent, oil reserves should have run out by the year 2000, everyone would have to wear respirators by 1985 because of the caustic pollution, and global temperatures were supposed to be 11 degrees COLDER by the year 2000.

Makes you wonder how global warming will be viewed 40 years from now.

A total farce. How stupid do they think we are? Just more of Hollywood producing the Stupid History channel. The elites have bought everyone off. It is total bulsh't.

Scientific method refers to a body of techniques for investigating phenomena, acquiring new knowledge, or correcting and integrating previous knowledge. To be termed scientific, a method of inquiry must be based on gathering observable, empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of reasoning.[1] A scientific method consists of the collection of data through observation and experimentation, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses.

Probably shouldn't mention evolution in this state. 70% of the population here are christian so they won't believe it.

Cheaters never prosper.
I think this whole global warming fantasy that Al Gore started will be forgotten in a few years. A lot of scientists jumped on this band wagon in hopes of getting a government grant from their governments. The grants are going to end and they will have to go back to earning a weekly paycheck like the rest of us.

How can you say cheaters never prosper. How do you think we ended up with all of these thieves and liars in office now?

Well, I was referring to just scientists in my last post. I've known that politicians were thieves and liars from a very early age, so I figured it wasn't worth mentioning them.
Politics is the only arena where you expect thieves and liars to prosper.

That's a nice theory. But from cold fusion to Continental Drift, global cooling and global warming; scientist follow the money. Sure they get found out in the end. But then they jump on the next bandwagon that pays well. Just ask a tobacco scientist if smoking is harmful to your health.

It's not a theory. It's a method that all CREDIBLE scientists use. Do some scientists "follow the money"? Sure they do. Most credible research gets done at colleges and universities though. Just who would you rather have doing research?
