Someone should invite Fat Al to read a few Topix posts, he'd be very happy to see that some of his faithful followers have been calling sceptics racists for quite a while.
Not that any of us are sceptical about climate change, or that Earth has warmed slightly over the last 160 years, we're all simply lumped together as sceptics or deniers of anything and everything by alarmists.

Given the tenor of the attacks on AGW theory and Al Gore, I'm not surprised that he escalated his rhetoric.
By way of clarification Al Gore did NOT say that AGW skeptics are this generation's racists. He drew an analogy between the conversation over civil rights and the conversation over AGW.
[The former vice president recalled how society succeeded in marginalizing racists and said climate change skeptics must be defeated in the same manner.]
Its a rather poor analogy, but as I said the rhetoric seems to be escalating.

Obviously poor, downtrodden Eathling's comprehension skills have failed him once again. Al Gore drew an analogy, he did not call skeptics racists. Read it again.
As for you having been called a racist....I can attest to the truth of that statement. LiteSong has been doing it for months. Here is why. You seem to take great delight in calling him as "Injun". Personally I think you are probably not a racist however the word "injun is a derogatory term racists use to refer to Native Americans. If you don't want to seem like you are a racist its a good idea to stop using their words. If you just want to be a prick, carry on but don't be surprised when people judge you by your words.

You're coming around Earthling. There may be hope for you yet.

Stop whining, these tactics are used by both sides of the argument.Proponents of AGW are constantly told what we believe, or who we worship (usually Al Gore). I spent an hour and a half watching Gore's movie, that is a tiny fraction of the time I have spent educating myself on the topic of Global warming. I don't get my science from movies I prefer the IPCC.

This is typical liberal philosphy, when you can't refute the facts attack the messenger.

Fact is, for every piece of science that supports the man made global warming premise there is another that refutes it.

Our scientist can't agree on man made global warming.

All the claims of consensus simply demonstrate no evidence.

If there was evidence, consensus would not be needed.

Is the earth warming, yes. Is this warming different from past warmings, not really. Is this warming happening any faster than past warmings, no. It is hotter than past warmings, no.

Has the warming caused more unusual weather events, no. Have the weather events experienced been more frequent or more intense, no.

What we have is the 'original sin' premise. Man sees something he can't explain, looks and can't find a cause, so he assumes he has sinned.

That's just what they did during the LIA when they burned witches at the stake to prevent the advancement of the glaciers they had never seen before.

Believe it or not, our earth is much older than the 30 to 50 years each of us has been looking at it.(memories in childhood don't qualify) A little perspective goes a long way it determing just what is unprecendented and what is business as usual.

I'm not sure how long you've been reading this forum, my little capullo friend, but I doubt you can, "attest" to anything of the sort, litesout was calling me an, "injun killer" long before I ever typed the word, "injun."
So put that in your peace pipe and smoke it.

NB: My childhood memories go back over 65 years, so they may 'qualify' more than most.

Nothing about how poor your comprehensions skills are?...so you admit that you failed to see that Gore drew an analogy, and did not call skeptics racist?

Let's settle the litesout,'injun' question that you claimed to be able to, "attest" to?
If can 'attest' to it, please do, if not, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
