We do not need more wilderness or similar designated areas. We don't need more mismanagement and burning of our natural resources. We were put on earth to manage prudently and creating such areas is ludicrous.

Keeping Wilderness is "managing prudently". The benefits to our long-term survival prospects of keeping biodiversity at as high a level as possible are priceless. If you want everything to be like the most backward state in the union, then just go to Oklahoma. They keep wilderness to a minimum outside Native American areas.
