a person chooses to pick up the bottle, a person with say..cancer does not choose to hurt, The drunkard chooses to take that first drink.A good friend of mine whose dad was a alcoholic does not nor has never drank because he does not want to get started drinking knowing the tendency in his family to swig whiskey.My freind's dad could have made the same choice not to drink.
