And all those congressmen who slept with young women were removed we might have a better bunch of people in the Congress. Right now we have a man who committed manslaughter by driving off a bridge(DRUNK), we have a man who was(?) a grand popaan(or whatever) in the KKK, we have a man who tried to make out with a vice cop in an airport, we have a woman who blamed half the people in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA for her husband's screwing around, I could go on but it is sickening that all this is going on. I know that these people with high powers must have this release, BUT I don't give a da-n, it has to stop NOW. Get rid of them ALL.

There is something that causes the wives of these men to stand by their side when they are caught doing these things, and I don't understand it. It has to be about the power and wealth. My own wife would be gone in a flash, and the next thing I would know, I would be served divorce papers. It's that simple. I know the children have a lot at stake, but no one would blame the wife for wanting distance from him immediately.

Jay was close but the warming is actually coming from their big heads that tell them the law is for joe citizen and not me. You see it all the time. It is time for the average joe to stand up and take our country back from these liers, thieves, perverts,etc.... I've had enough of this overpaid, underworked, crooked mess that we call a government. |

The politicians of 200 years ago were called the "founding fathers". 200 years from now, the politicians of today will be know as the "fondling fathers".

So the guy had sex with a hooker.... Who gives a crap. This sex thing is blown way out of proportion. What the hell does someones sex life have to do with job performance? If we eliminated all the politicians,CEO's, Doctors ect...that had "affairs"....
we would shut down the country. |

They're not sorry for others only for themselves. How can they for something they knew was wrong but did anyways?
Though it's p.c to give a public apology. They're no Nixon. |

The rest of the world is laughing about the puritanical Americans who get themselves worked into a frenzy over each new sex scandal. Men in positions of power have had mistresses, prostitutes, you name it since the beginning of time. If you think it will end anytime soon, you haven't a clue. The idea that the country is going to hell in a handbasket because people have naughty sex is laughable. If you want to find the real culprit of our failings, how about greed? How about lying us into a war that a good part of the rest of the world opposed? How about policies that hurt the average American worker? |

The 'problem' is NOT with him having sex. The 'problem' IS that he perjured himself - he is an attorney , consequently he should know if you lie under oath you perjure yourself. Those lies led to a settlement that cost the taxpayers OVER 8 (eight) million dollars!!!!!!!!! Taxpayers (from all of Michigan) have had their fill of this thug. This is not the first time he has been called on to explain himself. So, no - this is not about 'sex' per se....it could very well be the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. |

P.S. Should've mentioned that the 'hooker' you refer to was his Chief Deputy. And, she too lied on the stand - she is/was a law student so she, of course, should be totally aware of the consequences re lying under oath.
He is a very arrogant person and his speeches are degrading to the average person with a brain. Hope this helps you to understand the situation a tad bit more. |

If the problem wasn't sex, then why make a legal issue over it? What good comes out of exposing private human failures and humiliating these people publicly? I don't think what they did was morally correct, nor do I think they should be carrying on in the workplace, but I simply don't see the need the need to destroy people's entire lives and careers over SEX. As long as you have people having sex, you'll have people lying about sex. With all the problems this country has, I just don't understand the need to waste the time and money on bringing case after case of these human failures to be dissected by the media before a rabid audience. Why not just bring back public hangings for recreation? |
