A bipartisan group of senators working to craft immigration legislation is focusing on how to define when the border is secure, one of several contentious issues that could cause the whole deal to collapse, a key Senate negotiator said Thursday.

from what i see we cannot say the border is secure until no one can get through except by the front door.it can be done it just needs action being it was already approved.

what was put in place as a fence in some areas is no better than a door that can be jacked up as shown in a video not too long ago. drones do not help and the high tech stuff a waste, nothing works as good as boots on the ground man many of them rotated as to slow the corruption or prevent it.

it is foolish to leave the same guards and agents in an area where they can be known by smugglers and pull the silver or lead thing.

No initiative should even be considered until the border is in fact sealed, and birthright citizenship is abolished. I wonder ho many would want to sneak in if they knew they were totally on their own...no help from the government.

This government has already said the border is secure and they have also said they did not intend to enforce any immigration law. If they do not enforce current law what makes you think they will enforce any new law, they won't, empty promises.

Better than border security is to create a national E-Verity law, national bio metric finger print/iris ID cards and close down birthright citizenship. Throw employers in jail and fine them $10,000 a illegal alien head the first time, then $20,000 and then jail time and business shut down.

Most of us know that the promises made will not be kept, unless of course one is an illegal...apprently doing what is in the best interests of Americans is not being considered.
