I LOVE THE LORD, BUT THESE GUYS NEED SOMEONE CHECKING OVER THEM FROM TIME TO TIME, BECAUSE THERE'RE SUPPOSE TO BE HELPING THE NEEDY NOT BEING GREEDY.Here's a test go up to a random member and ask them to open their finacial records, and if they have paid all their bills for the month then maybe the church is legitamit.

The investigations are long overdue. It is distressing to see ministers living in excess when their parishoner's use the last of the gas in their cars to get to church.

if i am paying tithes and offering to a church that is GODS money and for the use of GODS work to be done. If we are told to give for our pastor we give our pastor Money as well. if the pastor takes up offering for someone else we give money in the offering... it's all based on faith in GOD you dont have to give any money if you dont wont to.. HOWEVER if you dont get anything back then that is on you. Pastors get paid from there church for being Pastors "THIS is there job" 9 to 5 including weekends and holidays "no time off" LETS worry about the WAR in IRAQ, DRUG dealers, Children being abduted & raped, People starving in the WORLD...

I feel sorry for those people who follow prosperity ministries. These people don't have a mind of their own, they are brain washed and don't even know it. I just saw Mr. Dollar on CNN and he seemd a little on edge to me, which he should be. People wake up!!! Quit letting these so called ministers use you for their personal gain. Quit iodolizing these false prophets!

I bet the Lord never sees 10% of their incomes but I believe that they tell their followers to bring their 10% into the storehouse that the so called evangelist manage. These people imposters will pay the price for their operations and I mean burn in hell.

People living high on the hog off of the people and government monies; this does not symbolize the modest lifestyle of the Messiah by any means. The Messiah was very modest and cared more about helping others than benefiting with material things and riches beyond measure. There are many Pimps from the Pulpit in this last day generation and people are too blind to see what is going on. You can not buy salvation, it is free with the conditions of obedience to the MOST HIGH and His Word (TORAH). No one can serve two masters, you can not serve the MOST HIGH and the love of money too! Wake up people ... the love of money is the root of every evil thing.

Ask any of these ministers if they can name at least 10% of the members.........bet you they can't!

I have a friend that is a member of Eddie Long......Hasn't visited her once in the hospital! Try that one for size.

I have great respect for all of the Pastors that are being investigated and I hope that the Senator is ready to open up his records and also those that are doing the investigations.
Also they better be ready for the wrath of God. The word of God clearly says touch not my annointed and do my Prophets no harm.

These churches aren't doing what they are supposed to do as the Word of God puts it.

Instead they have chosen to fatten up their egos and wallets ignoring THE WILL OF GOD:

When I was naked you clothed me, when I was hungry you fed me, when I was in the hospital or prison you have visited me.

If any church in america does not practice this, GOD is not in their midst, run from these people.

So many haters out there. Just because there are people who believe different than you. Sen Grossley needs to be concerned about those billions of unaccounted dollars those Iraq contractors get. How about that now missing 9 million dollars found in Sadaam's palace. What about that no-bid contract for those new buildings at CDC in Atlanta. What about the no money for the VA hospitals which our wounded vets are in. He needs to concentrate in areas other than religion. What's the matter? Our government looking for another source to fund the war? Or matter Grossley wants in on some of that money. Maybe he found out it is more profitable stealing from church than in the senate.

I would love to see these guys worry about these same things. Jesus' teaching was that "where you treasure is...that's where your heart will be." Seems like these guys spend much of their treasure on themselves. Says alot about their hearts.

I'm sure Dollar, Long and the rest could settle for a meager salary of 150k a year and provide much for the things above that you listed. But will they?

I think people need to look at it just the way it is. The bible says to "render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars and render unto God what is Gods." I don't believe for one minute that Christ intended for a man of the cloth to glamour himself with the things of the world. Paul says to transform the world not be transformed by the world. Some of the preachers, etc. did not live like this before the entered the pulpit so why put yourself in a position to be looked upon as a pimp of the church. Wake up people!!!! God did not intend for you to worship the messenger. I do believe they have something to say but not at the expense of the people and their souls. I welcome this inquiry if nothing more than to clear up the questions in everyone's mind. Even their our people wonder sometimes I'm sure.

Shirley they are required to open their books anytime they are asked. The enjoy tax exempt status which is granted by the GOVERNMENT. As long as their are adhering to the tax exempt laws they have nothing to be afraid of. My personal opinion is all Pastors should be taxed just like regular. They shouldnt hide behind the tax exempt status and live like Kings.

I really believe that it doesn't cost to get to heaven. Instead of 10% to church , help someone in need. Give to the poor. Feed the hungry . It is a shame to see someone use religion for wealth. Alot of people do without to give to the church feeling they are giving to a good cause. For all of those that misuse those funds I can not imagine cheating God. As for the books, lower the cost so people can buy them. The prices are high and most are only in hard back. Make things available to the people. Buy a smaller car and help some needy people. Than you have the title of pastor. It is not a occupation but a calling. And it does not rate a CEO Paycheck. Yes, they need to be investigated and pay taxes and pentalities for misusing church funds if they have but most of all
people need to wise up and serve God
and that can be done even in a empty church. You don't have to have a leader just faith.

You speak on what you don't know. Bishop Long is not on a church salary. I know because I'm a member of 9 years. We make a pastors donation if we desire not because we have to. Futhermore, have you visited a bookstore lately? Long, Dollar and several others write books which brings a nice income plus speaking abroad bring in extra also. God said bring your tithe to the storehouse (your church home). You don't worry about what happens as Gos deal with those who steal from them. It seems that the all mighty dollar is your God. Why else would you worry about a pastors income or anyone for that matter? Man gives a value to the dollar, not God.
