This is like a Poker game. If Boehner gets what he wants he will consider bringing this to the floor of the House. It has to pass the Senate first though.

this bill needs to go in the trash and its supporters kicked out of office.

Although I am not a fan John Boehner he strikes me to be a though and principle guy on appearances but experiences of some of his actions as Speaker of the House did not match his macho posturing in reality those personalities are being cowed down by fear and intimidation which has been taken over by self preservation "nature first law" so its very hard for anyone to count on him to do the right thing on immigration reform a matter that has to do with putting country first.

If you love America then you will not be opposed to immigration reform.

There is no need for reform, only enforcement.

I was amused that you say immigrants don't know English - when your own English is RIDDLED with grammatical errors. At least the immigrants have the excuse that English is not their mother tongue!!!

Yes, Indeed. We need to stop bending our laws for the Profiteers,
Not enable them.

Immigration has become a joke. Almost non-existent. Simply put, there are too many people here. Our systems are overloaded, our infrastructure is falling apart, etc. And, it's only going to get worse. We need to so some serious house cleaning and get back to taking care of our own, like we used to. Reform? It's too late.

I'm amused that you, while on line, are so unfamiliar with the "grammatical" short cuts used on social media websites.

Not that I approve, I don't, but at least I am knowledgeable enough to recognize it.

Criticize it if you wish, but at least be knowledgeable enough to know what you are carping about. Obviously you aren't acquainted with Spanglish, Jinglish, nor pidgen.

There is little use for any such in "proper" conversation but there is little of that here on Topix.

Speaking of proper conversation, you used a hyphen where a comma was appropriate. Dust off your own Welcome mat before accusing others of not doing so.

We don't need reform. We need enforcement.

Take those 69,000 minimum wage types that TSA hired to guard us against terrorists that take so much delight in strip searching infants, old ladies in wheel chairs wearing adult diapers and terrorizing kids in body casts and train them (if possible) on how to process legal entry applications.

Get rid of the backlog of people asking for legal entry.

Secure the borders and do like Mexico or North Korea does to border jumpers. Shoot them, or put them in prison. No trial needed. Getting caught crossing the border illegally is proof of guilt.

Historical fact.... Millions of Jews were relocated in Hitler's Germany. Other issues aside, if the technology of that time, more than 70 years ago, was able to do that, what can we accomplish today?

Think it impossible? The IRS sent $49 Million in tax refunds to 27,000 illegals all using the same address. Another $6 Billion was refunded in fraudulent child tax credits.

Yeah, I think we could round them all up, especially since so many of them are taking to the streets to protest our "unfair" immigration laws.

How true, what is so pathetic is that the gaggle of goons probably don't even know what all the finer details of the bill happen to be. They are trying to shove it down our throats without letting people see what they are hiding. A bill that gifts lawbreakers simply cannot be good for Americans.

So you prefer to have them here without papers and not contribute to US economy by not paying taxes ?

Of those 50%, I wondder how much they really know and understand about this problem. Too many americans today are more interested in reality shows than the realities that Americans face daily.
