If America is to prosper during The Presidents second term we will need to have the co operation of the
last of the moderate Republicans. That could require a gesture from the President maybe replacing the soon to depart Clinton with Lugar?
If America dosen't survive it will be because the majority of the GOP perfer suicide to compromise.
If America doesn't survive it will be because we failed to replace Obama and he leads us into Cuban Style Collectivism.

It's up to the voters. This isn't brain surgery.
Abject failure, hopelessness, and despair with Obama or the chance for a decent future for American families with Romney.

If the only thing you want out of a Leader is support for Gay Marriage or special rewards for Illega Aliens then Obama is your guy. Otherwise, most clear minded adults understand that it is beyond time for a CHANGE.

I can't speak for local ads, but for POTUS I've found that negative ads do work against other negative ads, but positive ads usually beat out negative ads.

People, especially this November, want to vote FOR someone rather than AGAINST someone. They want a positive message about how great America is and how it can come back from the brink. People are sick and tired of hearing how rotten America is, and that's all they've heard over the last four years. It's truly amazing.

You will hear how great America and her people are from Mitt Romney, and the message that when you get the government off the people's back ordinary people can do extraordinary things no matter what your background. That's the conservative message, despite the negative, lying Left.

You won't get that with the Obama campaign. Instead you will get class warfare, straw man arguments, the race card, pittings of women against men, black against white, and poor against rich. You'll hear how horrible certain people in America are for simply working hard and earning a good living. You will hear Marxist pleas for the government to take more from the producers so that the government can then give it away to the non-producers. The message you'll get from Obama will be mostly negative ads, because he doesn't have anything positive he can say based on his record.

In 2008, Barack Obama didn't have a record. He was the least qualified man who was ever elected POTUS. But now, after four years, he does have a record, and we'll watch how he tries to avoid it at all costs.

It will be an interesting few months to say the least
