The OSB sister is confused about the torture vote.
There is one set of regulations for the military, who are limited by the Geneva Conventions on what they can ask, and what they can do with a prisoner.

The CIA is not under those regulations - regulations that do not allow sleep deprivation, discomfort in temperature, or loud, bad music, among other things.

Specter and English were keeping the military regs separate and distinct from other agencies.

There is always a 'what if' question. What would we be willing to do to a Mohammed Atta if we knew he was aware of immediate plans to attack NYC, Washington, or anywhere else in the U.S.? Think about that, you people.

The same thing can be said about the spread of nuclearization. America perfected it and now everyone wants to do it. It will not stop until America gives it up completely and then it can enforces it worldwide.

Bushit has a below average IQ of 91, this is a proven fact. That is why the big D1ck is the real boss at the W.H.

I believe there already are laws agaisnt torture and acts such as these. Lib/dem always think another law will make things better.
I would rather interrogate a terrorist and get what information and save thousands of lives

Dang I hate it when libs try to spin the truth. A vote against this bill does nto equal a vote for torture! Please, I Know it is hard, but stay with the facts.

We have tortured, we will torture, and we will continue to torture. This administration doesn't care. They are a bunch of war wimps who never would consider being an actual part of a war. They only send other people's kids there to die for their oil and war profiteering interests.

amy for peace at any price:
WMDs - Bekkah Valley in Lebanon or somewhere in Syria. President Bush should have invaded earlier.

Syria and Iran could have used some attention as well.

Didn't Cheney say that they had WMD and we know where they are? This is when the inspectors were still there. Why didn't they find them? Cheney lied time after time after time and some people are just too "patriotic" to see the lies. Some people will buy anything.

Torture is something we should be ashamed of not proud of like most of these rednecks. Most of these people we have tortured were completely innocent. This could be you ! Think about it!

Specter and English both know deep inside torture is wrong but cannot stray from the nest of the Republican party. Haven't we seen this for eight years? Republicans sticking together on bad legislation which only helps the rich and corporate interests? Can't you NRA and anti abortion people see that you are being used? Torture is wrong and always will be wrong. If you agree with the torturers then you are as bad as these tag a long republican legislators!
