I am not advocating abstinance, I am simply saying it is the only 100% way to prevent pregnancy. People are going to have sex whethe or not you tell them not to. That is natural; the sexual drive is too strong for most people to simply ignore.

As a matter of fact, I am in agreement with most others here; abstinence only in sex education is NOT the way to go about getting people to stop unwanted pregnancies. I personally say let people have sex if they want to, but inform and educate them of ALL possible means of preventing pregnancy. The pill, IUDs, condoms, abstinence, as well as any other effective means should ALL be mentioned. Let the people make up their own minds how they want to hold off pregnancy. Trying to convince them of only ONE method is moronic, I agree, but I never said that abstinence should be the ONLY form of prevention; I just said it is the only 100% effective means of preventing pregnency.

So, from one Texan to another, ease off on the bashing.

Abstinence is NOT 100% efective. Ask a Christian.

i remember in my middle school years ago they TRIED to teach abstinence, but they time i was a sophomore 15 girls were pregnant and many others that weren't in my class were pregnant. luckily enough for me my parents were very open about birth control and how to be smart when having sex. they did not support teenage sex, but they taught things like, knowing when the girl is ovulating and not to have sex then, use spermicidal condoms every time, make sure the guy pulls of before he ejaculates, and if at all possible make sure the girl was or could be on birth control. once a child makes up there mind to have sex, just make sure they understand the pro's an con's if they are well educated they are less likely to make mistakes and if they do end up having sex at least they will protected. face the facts, teenagers have and always will have sex. it is hard to fight those urges, just use some common sense and remember what it was like when you were their age.

Please tell me I was reading that wrong, and your parents did not promote this as an effective way to prevent pregnancy...

prevention of unwanted pregnancy. Can be 100% controlled by abstainance from pre-marital SEX, or birthcontrol to married ones.
If young ones can listen not only from their sex education is school, but from the word of God. I believe they will know that SEX outside or before Marriage is SIN according to GALATIAN 5: 19 the bible called SEX, FORNICATION and that its a SIN.
Moreover no SINNER/FORNICATOR (SEX MACHINE) Will enter HEAVEN.
Nevertheless, the fruit of it is UNWANTED PREGNANCY. and its a disgrace that gave room to some BASTARD.
My beloved READER. Many advice might come up, changing their styles to suite ones selfish urge but CHRIST STANDARD never changes. PRE-MARITAL SEX is SIN, Before GOD.
Dont engage in it.
