Full story: The State

As a little-known Minneapolis police sergeant, Sharon Lubinski made headlines when she declared she was a lesbian on the front pages of the city's largest newspaper - a bold move that other gay officers say inspired them to come out, too.

That's stupid if she's gay that's her buisness.
I don't see people coming out saying they are straight! Do your job, serve the public, fin. Everything else doesn't matter.

Oh, come on now. Straight folks proclaim it all the time.

Every time a straight candidate shows up with his or her spouse onn their arm, they are proclaiming their orientation for all to see.

Most straight folks always assume everyone else is straight. I know it's silly, but they do it. So when ANY gay person must be in the public eye, they are all but required to tell the world they are gay. Up front.

That way, there isn't the "horrified backlash" when those silly straight folks find out their assumptions are wrong.

If you straight folks stop being so worried about gay folks, and so surprised, then we won't be required to "come out".

It's that simple.

Straight folks have no buisness doing it either. When your on duty your a US marshal and you serve the people. If that person wants to show up with a same gender partner for some sort of event thats fine but people need not explain their freedoms to others.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Scorpio

A loved one is very assertive under the Full Moon tonight. You'll only make it worse if you come down like a ton of bricks, given that Mars is retrograde and it's a lunar eclipse tonight. Besides, do you really want to spoil this evening's celebrations because you've had a flaming row? If possible, live and let live, so you can have a really happy New Year!
