Your cult is more stone age than Christianity; you embrace human weakness. Sounds downright archaic to me.
The principal reason for homosexuality is ONE thing, sex. A very primal action. Hypocrisy abounds in you woody.

Your right, gay relationships have been around a lot longer than Christianity. Embracing human weakness is called compassion, obviously a term lost on you. The principal reason for ANY sexual relationship is sex, DUH! Yes it is primal. You got him beat there, Hypocrisy AND Bigotry AND Stupidity abounds in you!

So, live by that ancient code and stop tying to re-define modern marriage to support an ancient tradition. Face it, it's all about getting your hands on the intended "spouse" money if he/she croaks or you break up. Honesty trumps bigotry every time.

Marriage has been redefined countless of times, from when women were bartered for and were treated as possessions to harems. The only thing that is being changed is that contract now becomes genderless, anyone can equally choose their mate regardless of gender. It's not all about money from the pro equality side, it's about having the same rights as every other married couple. But it does include tax, social security benefits, and why not? We all pay taxes and into SS and there is no reason for me or my partner not get it, anymore than yours should. What you don't like is, believing you'll get less $ if I get mine, loosing your preferred status and thinking you a better person, going only by what you f(_)ck. So in a way your right it, is about money, but it is you and others like you, that make it that way and then not acknowledging that fact and throwing in the bybull as an excuse. Therefore be the ultimate hypocrite.

With all that blathering you just did you missed the word MODERN marriage. If you pay into SS, you get yours, nothing regarding gay marriage prevents that. WTF? I want marriage to be re-defined so I can marry my horse, and leave him my millions without any possible chance of it being contested. While we are redefining DOMA, let me marry 3 men. I can't choose which ones to give up, so allow all of them to be "mine". Oh yeah, and one of them is my brother. There should be no problem with that, huh? It's my equal right to choose, right? Think about it.

Feel free to fight for a right to marry your horse or your brother or anything else; no one is stopping you.

Meanwhile we'll be getting federal recognition and continue until we have all 50 states.

Let's see who gets theirs first!

Ready, set, go!!

Yes, they did. Modern marriage is an establishment by the government. It doesn't provide anything more than a money grab such as right of survivorship. So, let's cut the crap and stop pretending it's about love, family "values" and the like.

If you see it as nothing more than an entitlement, well, I rest my case.

United States Wedding Traditions

The United States has few wedding traditions that are totally unique to the U.S. Virtually all U.S. wedding traditions and customs have either been taken directly from a wide range of other countries and cultures – primarily European – or they have evolved from traditions in other nations.

This is certainly easily understood since the United States was originally populated by immigrants from many lands, primarily Europe. These immigrants brought their own wedding traditions with them, and these traditions, stirred in the melting pot of the United States, have slowly evolved into the traditional “American” wedding ceremony.

In truth, many people still retain many of their ethnic wedding traditions, and this, too, has become part and parcel of the “American” wedding ceremony. In the U.S. we are very comfortable in allowing a wide diversity of traditions and ceremonies.

There are a few things that all U.S. weddings have in common. To begin with, U.S. wedding ceremonies may be either religious or civil. Most **brides prefer a large and rather elaborate ceremony if it is their first wedding

That may be the reason you and most heteros marry, but I got married because I love my husband and wanted the legal protections only available through marriage. We both have our own separate military retirement and our own separate investments; neither of us needs the other's money.
