Meanwhile Rump announces plan to revert back to D.C. power and build a “beautiful clean coal” fired plant on every block in the District by 2020.

Expect peat-moss stocks to double by the end of the trading day.

We need all forms of energy.
Until renewables are available that can give us what we need in abundance, we need to keep coal coming.
There is enough coal to last us another 50 years at least and that is a good thing.
New ideas in battery technology and other powerful energy producing forms such as river siphon's will give future generations the ability to cope with growing populations exceeding the seven billion number of individuals alive on Earth today.
Converting to renewables will take time and we will need every source available until many other sources are deemed feasible to supply the needs for comfort vand long term sustainable survival.

So if it is cloudy or night time. If the wind is not blowing. What does California do? Close for a few days?

It will be a boondoggle just like their "hi-speed" rail.

Bloated, over budget, and continuously delayed.

What Governor Moon Beam doesn't realize is that his dream will come true. They'll reduce "greenhouse gas" emissions because no one will be able to afford to live there.....

What is needed is an abundant 24/7 energy source.
One resource is the water that runs down rivers day and night.
The weight of a tenth of a typical rivers flow could power as much as a hydroelectric dam and this could be captured with siphon's instead of damming.
New technology in siphon control can allow hugh long siphon lines to supply water from rivers with pipes layed on the river bottom in an environmentally friendly manner.
One pioneer in large scale siphon management that could be useful in those renewable energy projects is SIPHERGY PUMP'S.

When Moonbeam leaves in January 2019 California will begin a new era of reason, and people will want to return. Right now it is crazy town.

Some day in the not-so-distant future...we'll have about one half of the infrastructure we need to support the energy needs of our country. At this time, the aristocracy will decide that their investment is enough and will lock the doors while the surplus population is disposed of.

Fortunately, I don't think I'll be around for that. The rest of you? Get your nookie while you can! It's on the approved politics list. Go nuts!

In January the California candidate for Governor was 15 points down, now he is 4 points down. Not all Californians want open borders, or follow moonbeam. You can see that in some of their editorials, and even on this forum. If they prevail you will see an entirely different California.

And Moonbeam will be gone by January. The Republicans should appeal to the Military vote. There are many thousands of Republicans on those ships.

Yes, but even they would agree that we all need fuels such as kerosene to keep things decent.
It will take time to explore the potential of clean energy sources and until then we need all that is available to us to make our vital necessities reasonable in costs.

Hydroelectric can be a continuous clean energy without the need of reliance on batteries.
Storage is a problem with large energy producing sources.
Better battery's are needed than what is currently being used.

Nuclear power was supposed to be the "be all, end all" of energy supplies, now we don't know where to store it's leftovers. There are only so many mountain storage areas.
