This dedication just had to be done on a weekday, right? I left my house in Clinton at 7:30am and I JUST got to work (9:20am). Whoever the genius is that thought it was a bright idea to have this span dedication in the morning that close to rush hour should be slapped by everyone who had to suffer through the bigger delay that it caused.

And now, the rubberneckers...

What in the bloody, blue hell is so attention grabbing about a couple of damn tents and some friggin' folding chairs?!?!?!?!?? Now there's an EIGHT MILE BACKUP BECAUSE YOUR RETARDED A$$ES DECIDED TO STOP AND GAWK OVER CRAP YOU'VE SEEN GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES!!! HAVE YOU EVER EVEN BEEN TO THE CIRCUS??? IS THAT IT? DID YOU THINK ABOUT CHUCKLES THE CLOWN RIDING AN ELEPHANT WEARING A TUTU WHILE IT WAS RIDING A UNICYCLE AND YOU DRIFTED OFF TO THE FIRST TIME YOU EVER SAW CHUCKLES? THEN PULL THE F-CK OVER AND REMINISCE TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT, YOU DUMBSH-TS!!!

Wow... that was theraputic...

If you are on the inner loop around 11:00 - 11:30 - HONK YOUR HORN. IT WILL REALLY DISTURB THEIR SPEACHES.

Minor payback for our inconvenience.

I think it was nice to dedicate the last piece of hardware being put on the new span. Nobody cares about the backup. If Woodrow Wilson were alive he'd be ticked off they named a bridge after him since any mention of his name these days has an adjective or two or three.Besides, there's a nice symbolism to have a traffic problem on this very special day.

You know the old saying "Curiosity Killed the Cat".. Well, same goes for the idiots that drive around the metro area. What is so friggin interesting about white plastic chairs and a bunch of idiots who have to have a stupid dedication for a bridge during the friggin week? Why are people so friggin stupid sometimes?

Why would they do that at this time of day. It should have been under the bridge so it would not disrupt traffic. Everyone should honk their horns as they go by is a good idea!!

It would have been nice if they had planned their dedication on a Saturday morning or later during the day. They should have realized that it would have a huge impact on traffic (and it did). That being said, I do appreciate the Wilson Bridge project and am looking forward to this new span opening for use.

i take offense to that federal employee remark. i for one was not stuck in traffic this morning. i managed to make it to work on time. but it was stupid to hold this dedication that close to rush hour. traffic is bad on the WW bridge even without some type of event like this. boy some one was really using their head when they planned this.

They said it was at 11:00 for crying out loud!!! How the heck is that anywhere NEAR rush hour! It's closer to LUNCH hour!!!! What time are you people supposed to be at work???

The backups had nothing to do with "rush hour". It had *everything* to do with what Cynical OT wrote, which was hysterical, btw. LOL!

WOW! You just got to work at 9:20 and you are on the computer doing something that is NOT work related? Interesting.

As for the traffic, I do have to agree with everyone on that one. The ceremony should have been at a later time.

Well aren't we the judge and jury today... that's cute. I love the overall "I'm better than you" attitude in this area. It gives me a warm fuzzy to know that people have nothing else better to do than pick apart someone's words and concern themselves with things that are none of their business instead of just reading and either agreeing or disagreeing like human beings do all over the world. You're like an internet rubbernecker.

Have yourself a good weekend minding other people's business!
