McCain hopes to attract young voters

He's a Republican, for starters. He describes himself as "older than dirt." And he makes no apology for an Iraq war that is especially unpopular on college campuses.

John McCain is a nice old man who served his country well...but that's it, otherwise he's an empty suit. He'll be a puppet for the Bush's and nothing will change.

My Dad is one of the sharpest guys I've ever met and he'll be 75 in October. He's one of these guys who managed to grow old but stay young- He plays over 100 softball games a year in a senior softball league and is excellent shape and excellent health- Even my Dad, I see his mind starting to slip a bit- McCain may be sharp today but by the end of his term his mind may be shot...why take a chance on an old geezer while there's young, healthy, smart people ready willing and able to take over this country and turn it around. The only shot McCain has is if he runs against Obama- If runs against Hillary, McCain loses- It's time for a democrat to shake things up and get this country back on track- McCain won't change anything-

McCain's speech lasted for 11 seconds: the attention span of the average 18 to 35 year-old voter.

The empty suit in this campaign belongs to Barack Obama, who has accomplished NOTHING after being elected to public office.

Democrats fear McCain because he's a national hero who appeals to moderates (the majority of voters). Young Barack, on the other hand, is a political neophyte, the most liberal person in the Senate (not exactly an endearing quality) and all he can mutter in "hope" and "change" because he has nothing of substance to offer.

Obama maye be able to campaign on the "I'm not Bush" label, but so can McCain. He's going to clean Obama's clock.

This young voter is for John McCain.

I AM 75 YEARS OLD AND MY GIRL FRIEND IS 58 YEARS OLD AND I CAN KEEP UP WITH HER. I don't find myself loosing it and I hate to say this but there is really no choice. Obama is young and knows nothing and has no track records. Hillary we all know will tell you anything you want to hear as long as you vote for her and flip plops like pancakes. Mc Cain has the most experience and I don't agree with him on a few things but I feel he will look out for this country. I will trust him before i would trust the other two.

Hillary Clinton will make a great president. If she's on the ticket she will win the presidential election. McCain will beat Obama and so they think the presidency for McCain is a lay up- Hillary will end up beating out Obama...you'll see our first woman president-

How can she make a great President? How about trying to be a good Senator first, she has done absolutely nothing for New York except get a paycheck.

I totally agree. I am a democrat and for the LIFE of me can not figure out WHAT he stands for or WHERE he stands on ANY issue. McCain is IN for sure. That is if people have been paying attention.

This man will be 72 years old if he should take the oath of office. Making him the oldest head of state in our history.

72 years old.

He can remember what he was doing on the day that Pearl Harbor was attacked.

There are people born on the day that Pearl was bombed who have 50 year old children now.

There is no way that a 72 year old man can be a progressive agent for change. Americans must make up their minds, do they want progress or do they want the status quo. You have people who say they are fed-up, then in the next sentence they say they are voting more McCain.

If you want to know why Obama has raised so much money, why the youth of America is turning out in record numbers to vote for Obama, it is because they are already fed up and are not really familiar with all the crap that Washington hands us yearly.

The old complacent guard is dying off. When the biggest section of the population that supports Hillary Clinton is women over 50, that tells you something. When republicans under 50 are voting for Obama in caucuses and primaries where their votes can crossover, that is a clear sign that more kinds of people are wanting change than are getting credit for.

Obama will win the presidency by a mandate-showing vote. He's taken the best shots the Republicans can throw at him and he's not the kind of guy who makes the same kind of mistakes twice.

Take your best shot at the youth of America Johnboy.

Not true. Reagan was 73 when he was re-elected in 1984.
