I bought the building outright. It cost 50,000 will put like 10,000 into it. Plus another 15,000 in new stock. The new stock and remodel money I will do after first of year to take that next year as deduction.
This year will take whole 50,000 deduction. Will be great should get money back...LOL love it.
sounds like you are reluctant to pay your fair share, is obama aware of your joy in not being taxed to the max?

I am in retail.I sell middle to highen bikes and also fitness equipment. Also sell related sports and fitness gear. I know you will say I am dumb, but it works great for me.I run my business as a sole prop. I dont have "inventory" taxes. At end of year I take gross sales and deduct all expenses for the calender year. For me it is the simples way to do business. It also saves a ton on taxe and expenses.
I always tell anyone who has or wants a business until your over 250,000 in gross sales your better off as sole prop.
You are correct about remaining a sole proprietorship when under a quarter of a million in sales annually. No business interest that one undertakes is dumb. If you have a market for it, it's worth pursuing. Best of luck. I am not a Nazi as you suggested a few times, just someone who embraces opportunity and free markets. I would like to see this nation aspire to achieve what was once one of our greatest assets, a willing and able-bodied work force. It benefits everyone when people are proud to get up in the morning and go to their jobs and put in an honest days work. Our children need this as a model to learn by.

I hope it goes that way for you, and not down the audit road. New businesses usually get audited within the first 5 years of operation, according to my accountant.

You see I dont get why people complain. With good tax planning business people should be paying very little. I am sure most do also, they just like to complain. Thing is no one is payng more then 35-40%.That is not to the max. And most people paying that 35-40 after deductions pay mabe most 25% and most pay like 15%...That is gravy.

I been in business for 15 years. Never audited. I follow tax code for sole prop to the letter. Dont get greedy on taxes and dont deduct stuff that is outside code.

It is indeed that. So long as the politicians are of the wealthy elite, and that includes Obama, we will be serfs to their whims. One thing I will say, in spite of the elitists controlling the government, opportunity to venture into a business of your own is still available. For how long is anybody's guess.

I dislike both parties to tell the truth. I would be more of a Libertarian if it came down to it. But that said the democrats atleast once in awhile talk about an do something that helps small business and common workingclass people. The GOP most of the time seems to only care about the very rich.

Just got some GREAT news in e-mail from city planner. The building I bought is real old and has historic relavance. If I do some restoration on outside of building I can get up to 50% of the cost of restoration paid for by the renew downtown group. Sounds great.

I would also be libertarian if I thought they had a chance at the White House. The GOP has always supported my business practices on a local and state level. The federal level is in a class by itself with this crappy tax code that changes more than the lawyers change their underwear.
I love historical buildings and think they should be preserved. They are part of our heritage. We have a preservation society here that is solely funded by donations, no tax dollars. Many of the small towns around me have had grants provided by the Historical Society to save the landmark buildings. Good luck with your project, will you do the work yourself or sub it out?

All the inside work will be done by myself and my wife and our employees. The front windows and door I have a guy I know who does restorations on old buildings. He can take old style windows and doors and restore them to improve thermal and look quality.

Why Romney lost:

Free gifts.
Sandy.
Obamacare.
Voter turnout.
Voter suppression.
Voter fraud.
Lack of specifics.
The liberal press.
Abortion.
Women.
Men.
General Motors.
Detroit.
Bain.

To be continued, unfortunately.

Seems to be EVERYTHING under the sun, except MITT.

Libertarians are anti everything. They would destroy our governmental structure and weaken our national defense. Bunch of Ayn Rand loons.
