Judged: 1 1 1 JAL is a state-run-Japanese-company. JAL's pirots (NOT, Flight Attendants, but pilots) are froming and joining Labor-Union. This Labor-Union is only for JAL's pirots (NOT, ut pilots). The avarage salary of JAL's pirots (and ANA's pirots) is about 20-milllion-Yen per year per person. If your assertions are true, then JAL and Japanese-pilots are communists! (with 20-milllion-Yen salary per year per person.) It seems to me that your salary is low, because you donot belong to Labor-Union. It seems to me that you donot belong to Labor-Union, because you are stupid. [1-1] What is more JAL has 4 or 5 Labor-Unins! And, 3 of those are only for "captains", for "captains, copilots, and engineers", and only for "engineers". Judged: 1 1 Ronald Reagan's Navy Strategy, Free-Trade, and Mahan's Theory. The U.S. doesnot have to arm herself with huge Forces. The U.S. must make cars and export those cars form the U.S. to the world. [1] (1) Free-Trade benefits industrially-advanced-nations (technologically-developed-nat ions). AND, the U.S. is NOT a industrially-advanced-nations (technologically-developed-nat ions). The U.S. now is exporting soybeans and corns, and the U.S. is importing cars and home-electric-appliances. (2) So, industrially-advanced-nations (technologically-developed-nat ions) build NAVIES by thermselves in order to protect Free-Trade. AND, therefore, the U.S. doesnot have to build strong NAcvy. [2] I admit that Alfred Thayer Mahan saiod differently. His concept of "sea power" was based on the idea that countries with greater naval power will have greater worldwide impact. His ideas still permeate the U.S. Navy Doctrine. People adopt theories which are profitable to them. In fact, in W.W.II. not only Germany but also the U.S. condacted commerce-rading. It is well known that German-submarines drove British to the brink of asphyxiation twice, and the U.S.Navy submarines destroyed Japan. [3] In fact, the U.S. have been historically emphasizing the importance of trade between the Atlantic. After W.W.II., this tendency grew, because today no coyuntry has colonies. So, doctrine of the U.S. may be different from Mahan's theory. Only the Pacific Ocean after W.W.II. applies Mahan's theory. Even in 1930s', the U.S. already gave up to protect Philippines from attacks of Japan. That is, the U.S. herself admit that the U.S. could not prevent Japan from invading Philippines. The U.S. would counterattack Japan in order to recapture Philippines after Japan invaded Philippines. People adopt theories which are convenient for them. People accept Mahan's theory only in order to justify "the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty" and "the huge U.S.Navy". And, this is the reasoning of Ronald Reagan's theory. In fact, all Battle-Ships in the world were retired. (Ohio, Iowa, etc.) Today, Air-Force is the decisive power. After all, Navy's aircraft-carriers too mean that aircraft-carriers can provide Air-Forces to any desired places. [4] Defence of sea lines of communication (sea lanes) is the main mission of Navies. Sea lines of communication (sea lanes) means Trade. By the way, no one imagined that the U.S. and Soviet-Union could trade till the U.S. exported graines to Soviet-Union in 1972. Till then, the U.S. had been preparing her Navy on the assumption that Soviet-Union would destroy trade between the U.S. and Europe between the Atlantic. [5] On the other hand, Japan and the U.S. admit that the U.S. can trade with China. So, if the U.S. can trade with China, there is no need for the 7th fleet of the U.S. The problem is only with Japan. The problem become only the defense problem of Japan. And, it is Japan's duty. Protecting Japan is NEVER our Americans' job. Protecting Jana is Japan's job. [6] Navies' job is to keep trade. The Continental System or Continental Blockade was one example. Who doenot want to trade with the U.S.? Who does prevent America's trade? NO one. This means that the U.S. doesnot have to have Navy. (Yes. I admit that this opinion is extreme.) The job of Navy is to protect export-trading-partner, import-trading-partner, and trade-partner. And, today, those who may and caninterrupt these trade may be only Iran. |

The U.S. is continuing today's trades, which are just like the conditions of colonies. As long as the U.S. is copntinuing this condition of colonies, the U.S. doesnot have to have huge-Navy. contrally, if the U.S. will have huge-Navy, then the U.S. must be an industrially-advanced-nation (technologically-developed-nat ion) especially in Heavy-Induistry, and the U.S. must squeeze foreign-countries. Today's America is, say, just like that India or Egypt being British colony would have huge-Nsvies. Today's America can be compared to the followings. * India or Egypt of British colony would try to have huge-Navies. This is extremely strange. First of all, even if a country has a lot of huge-battle-ships, if the country ignore trade or commerce, the country can be destroyed. This is proved by the U.S.Navy in W.W.II. by using commerce-radors of U.S.submarines. [8] [Wikipedia] Alfred Thayer Mahan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Thayer_Ma... Alfred Thayer Mahan (September 27, 1840 - December 1, 1914) was a United States Navy flag officer, geostrategist, and historian, who has been called "the most important American strategist of the nineteenth century." His concept of "sea power" was based on the idea that countries with greater naval power will have greater worldwide impact; it was most famously presented in The Influence of Sea Power Upon History, 1660-1783 (1890). The concept had an enormous influence in shaping the strategic thought of navies across the world, especially in the United States, Germany, Japan and Britain, ultimately causing a European naval arms race in the 1890s, which included the United States. His ideas still permeate the U.S. Navy Doctrine. [9] [Wikipedia] The Influence of Sea Power upon History http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Influence_of... The French at first adopted Mahan's theories. French naval doctrine in 1914 was dominated by Mahan's theory of sea power and therefore geared toward winning decisive battles and gaining mastery of the seas. But the course of World War I changed ideas about the place of the navy, as the refusal of the German fleet to engage in a decisive battle, the Dardanelles expedition of 1915, the development of submarine warfare, and the organization of convoys all showed the navy's new role in combined operations with the army. |

Judged: 1 1 1 The brevity of your post made a thoughtful reply possible. The existence of a labor union does not define communism A state owned enterprise is a socialist appendage, however to accuse the employees of this enterprise of communism is a stretch. Their motive may be as simple as feeding a family. A fair labor agreement is just the good old capitalist concept of gaining as much as one can from the opportunity presented. If JAL is strangled by a one sided situation, saying that is an enough. Thinking in conspiratorial terms is not what will make you an American. In my opinion The Chinese are the proven enemy. They are the only nation on the planet that has the power to screw us really good. To launch a real Pearl Harbor . Japan is a trading competitor, thus a friend that you compete with for that profitable advantage. |
