Dobson shifts positions, may endorse McCain

Conservative Christian leader James Dobson has softened his stance against Republican presidential hopeful John McCain, saying he could reverse his position and endorse the Arizona senator despite serious misgivings.

'I never thought I would hear myself saying this,' Dobson said in a radio broadcast to air Monday. '... While I am not endorsing Senator John McCain, the possibility is there that I might.'

Dobson and other evangelical leaders unimpressed by McCain increasingly are taking a lesser-of-two-evils approach to the 2008 race. Dobson and his guest, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary president Albert Mohler, spend most of the pretaped Focus on the Family radio program criticizing Democratic candidate Barack Obama, getting to McCain at the very end.

Perhaps it takes a little longer for slow thinkers to come to the elementary conclusion there are no other options for traditional Americans, it's John McCain, end of thought process...Unless of course you're a spoon-fed trinket promised nitwit who thinks Americanism should be replace by euro-socialism. If so, cast a vote for, "change."

Dobson is an idiot.

McCain- the family man. He committed adultry more than once. He left his first wife and children for his mistress. Was estranged from his children. He calls his wife a c??? and shows her how much he respects her or women as a whole. He even attempted to commit suicide (a very big sin) How many times have we seen McCain at church? None, that I can remember, unless he's trying to get an edorsement. Yeah, he's a great family man with great christian values! NOT!!!!!!!

Obama- the family man. He spends time with his children and his wife, has the utmost respect for his wife and takes his responsibilites as a father, husband and provider very seriously. Leaving out the trash talk...he has attended church on a regualr basis and takes his faith seriously.

Just because the parchment and quill candidate, John McCain is white, it doesn't automatically make him a "traditional American". And to call people "spoon fed", would actually be referring to John McCain "the silver spoon born". He's the one who is the grandson of a Naval Admiral, the son of a Naval Admiral and an oil heiress. He went from riches to even more riches by marrying a woman worth millions. He doesn't know anything about struggles of everyday life.

Of course. But this is how the average Southern Baptist redneck thinks:

"Obama is a pro-choice, scary Negro who won't help Israel nuke the Middle East so that my fat butt will be raptured up into the clouds to be with Jebus."

Talk about an idiot...you fit the profile.
Funny, John McCain's ex-wife says he's a good man...that far surpasses the pompous judgmental twit you've proven yourself to be.
As for Obama the family man? Show me a "family man" who would sit on his ass and allow his family to be exposed to a preacher who butt spewed anti-American racist filth all over a church congregation. Show me a "family man" who would tolerate filth like that for one second not for 20 long years like Obama.
Barack Obama has no integrity just like he has no military experience. If he did he would have removed himself and his family from the presence of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and likewise for Bill Ayers and Father Phleger.
Only when the "family man" Obama realized Rev. Jeremiah Wright was a liability for his bid for president did he separate himself...that’s 20 years too late, that’s self-serving and that's not presidential.

James Dobson couldn't get a conservative to his liking the Republican nomination. He could not get it done. He threw a tantrum like the strong willed child in his books.

Now he realizes that his seat at the GOP children's table of power depends on being a good boy and behaving for four months while McCain attempts to run a Presidential campaign.

Dobson doesn't want to spend the next four years in a political time out, so he's going to do as he's told until that icky Mr McCain goes away.

First of all, I'm not pompus nor an idiot. And if military experience is what makes a good president. Then why did this administration fail so miserably? Oh, I remember, because Bush like McCain sat out the war. He spent his running around pretending to be in the military but never showing up where he was suppose to be. McCain, was in a prison camp, so he at least had no choice in the matter.

Military experience while a plus has never been a criteria for being a president. It's sound judgement that makes a great president.

And as for the church crap- that's been done to death. Get over yourself. John McCain had Hagey and the other nuts supporting him until they became a liablility and then dropped them like a hot potatoe. The only thing McCain can say though, is that he didn't attend their church or any other actually.

You're off to a bad start, you are an idiot and you are a politically inept pompous twit.
I see no major failures with President GW Bush...except when jackasses like you walked into a voting booth and made democRats a majority. Since that time gasoline and food costs have skyrocketed and the economy began to tank; if Obama is elected there will be another Great Depression.
Obama and the democRat Party are beholden to Global Warming Marxists because they are their primary contributors. And that means Obama has no energy plan to fuel America, period.
Once again, you are an idiot and you are a politically inept pompous twit and here's further proof of that...Barack has ZERO, I repeat ZERO Military Experience...In other words you look ridiculous trying to downplay both President GW Bush and John McCain who were pilots in The United States Military...all while your candidate cannot fly a kite doesn't know an once of protocol, especially on Memorial Day when Obama saw "fallen soldiers seated in the audience.”
Obama the "family man church crap” has only just begun...it speaks volumes about Obama's integrity and yours too for trying to shelve the issue.
Perhaps you can define "Change" for the forum with no platitudes or sugarcoating...start with the ideology of Karl Marx and work your way up to Obama.

Historians, who know more about government than the average person, find plenty of failures:

"President Bush often argues that history will vindicate him. So he can't be pleased with an informal survey of 109 professional historians conducted by the History News Network. It found that 98 percent of them believe that Bush's presidency has been a failure, while only about 2 percent see it as a success.

This website was created by Christian ministers and lay people in response to Dobson's recent criticism of Barak Obama:

"James Dobson doesn't speak for me.

He doesn't speak for me when he uses religion as a wedge to divide; ...

He doesn't speak for me when he denigrates his neighbor's views when they don't line up with his;

He doesn't speak for me when he seeks to confine the values of my faith to two or three issues alone; ...
What does speak for me is David's psalm celebrating how good and pleasant it is when we come together in unity;

Micah speaks for me in reminding us that the Lord requires us to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with Him; ...

The book of Matthew speaks for me in saying to bless those that curse you and pray for those who persecute you;

The words of the apostle Paul speak for me in saying that words spoken and deeds done without love amount to nothing.

The apostle John speaks for me in reminding us of Jesus' command to love one another. The world will know His disciples by that love.

These words speak for me. But when James Dobson attacks Barack Obama, James Dobson doesn't speak for me."

Obama is a great Christian, one that supports Partial Birth Abortion. Yeah great Christian and family man! We don't have to revisit all the negative talk about what and who was Obama's spiritual mentor, now do we?

I have been waiting for this type of message from the Christian community for 8 years. The media and most Christian religions were strongly supporting bush and his immoral behavior so much that I could no longer associate with Christians. I knew how bad bush was and I thought it clear to anyone who would know enough to advocate anybody.

I left my church of 20 years because of their strong support for the republican party and its immoral leaders. I had been looking for a church that was willing to speak against the unmentioned horrors bush was creating.

I saw no Christian church speak out against the bush policy of $25,000 reward to any Iraqi bringing in any other Iraqi and accusing them of being on the other side. Then allowing the reward for bringing in children. Some children might have been picked up from home, trying to do homework. Those children were then shipped to Guantanamo and "interrogated." Some were tortured to death. How does any Christian church support torturing children to death?

Yet, here we are with most Christian churches remaining silent about such horrors. And this is the tip of the iceberg of evil for bush. Just think how much better off we would have been if the Christian leaders had used their political power to prevent bush from taking over the nation.

There would never have been a 9/11 attack. There never would have been wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The millions of people who died, would still be alive. The economy of the US would be much much better. The millions of Americans who have been unemployed for so many years would have been able to find work at decent wages.
