Yeah, ok, so you're a cold hearted MFer. Shut up. Not everyone was born with a silver pecker in their mouth.
And you are a kind caring loving compassionate liberal with a heart of gold and a dream. Too bad you are too dumb to realize some people are losers and the country has spent inordinate amounts of money taking care of them. Liberal "caring" people such as you have made it now that there is a whole class of people who have no wish to work becasue everything is given to them, and they are doing nothing to improve themselves. You see nothing wrong with people who call it a full life flouncing from agency to agency signing paperwork and getting money contributed by the middle class. Why don't you take your liberal hatred for those who favor work over welfare and call for even more welfare. I wasn't born with a silver pecker as you so charmingly wrote. Maybe it is because I worked for everything I have that I despise liberal giveaways you see as the only way out. Did you ever work for anything or does your love of handouts come from a life of sucking down the freebies?

It is truly doubtful, at this stage of my life, I will make a baby I can't affotd to pay for. I have my education (MBA level) I paid for, so foregoing a night at the club and doing some pot or crack won't precent getting that GED. I have needed help from others before. When I was out of work, employment agencies and friends gave me contacts. When I have needed medical attention, people have assisted and my health insurance (which I earn as part of a job - as opposed to another welfare freebie given the unemployed who never apply for work. Many people have been very kind to me and helped me greatly. I have tried to return the kindness to those who have assisted me. You should understand, however, such help never came from one from the welfare class, a "single mother", a minority, a homeless person, or a "burn-out". I don't anticipate ever getting any of these types to help me, as they can't carry on their own lives.

Too many people in this country looking for another handout. Get a job. Like I did. Get a second job. Like I did. Stop spending your precious dollars on crap (cigarettes, booze, drugs) and buy the necessities. I'm sick and tired of the losers who always have their hand out looking for a freebie. And then jump in their new car and drive away.

Miss Laura's gonna have a hard time getting any sort of decent job if she let's people at the Emp' Office know that she's been trying to get "fuel assistants."

I wonder where daddy is?

I am so sick of my tax dollars going to people who cannot take responsibility for their own lives.

But hey, when Billary or B. Hussein Osama Obama get elected, all of her problems will be taken care of. Free, free, free, free....

You've got a job? Your kids have a father? Parents or grandparents who can help?

Stop being a leech. Turn off the TV, get off your fanny and take responsibility for your life.

This is great news except for the fact that it's not only the people on welfare and Social Security that have issues with paying these huge heating costs. I work very hard for my money and I thought I was making a good income until I got hit with the oil and electric bills, they're higher than ever! I really feel sorry for our young because they can hardly find jobs that pay decent money let alone full time. How are they supposed to make it with way things are in Connecticut?? It's time for the government to do what we pay them to, take care of the people, all of them.

Now here folks we have the reason for all these problems, this Bozo thinks that he, in his minute mind has to resort to vulgarities to express his insignificant opinion. Well Texaco Fire Chief, get a job, provide for your family and yourself, don't rely on begging for help from others. You are a maggot.

Because it is not Governments responsibility to give its citizens a lifestyle. Tell them to GET OFF THEIRS ASSES AND GET A JOB OR TWO. The rest of us work. I'm so sick of crybabies.

I agree with Wanda. I thought I had a decent income until the last two years. I haven't put my heat over 62 degrees this winter, and I stay home whenever I'm not working because I can't afford the gas. There are the poor (for whatever their reasons), and there are those of us who have now become the working poor. Many of us need help; we are not all lazy, and we are not all drunks or addicts. So, have some compassion, those of you who think it will never happen to you. I never thought I would be cold all winter, or run out of food, or have to beg for help just to afford to get to work. But, life sometimes takes an unexpected turn.

Commodity prices are what they are, and are driven by world economic demand, much of it caused by China and their insatiable appetite for oil and, increasingly, food. As for the other high cost of living in CT, most of it is attributable to the highest taxes in the nation, aided by the Dem' legislature dreaming up a new giveaway program every month or so and uncontrolled spending in every ageny and department under the sun.

Cut taxes,
Cut spending,
Stop creating new giveaway programs.

Remember in November.

The CEO of UTC also employs 230,000 people!! He also donates tens of millions of dollars for all different types of programs to help struggling families. George is not a good example to use, but point taken!

Energy companies are allowed to rob us all then Uncle Sam robs us again so that the poorest victims can be subsidized. Obama is right, people are desperate for change.
