With all due respect--No, Working class people (ie: those NOT sucking off the givverment teats for everything) making minimum wage, could not afford Outrageous, UNaffordable free market health ins premium costs, let alone straight up out of pocket costs in going w out such.
After paying even just the usual bare bones bills of REALITY (shelter, ele/heat, car, ins for such and the pettro to get to AND from work) many could not even afford GROCERIES, let alone anything else.
Don't believe me-
ADD IT UP realistically for a month-and see what's NOT left.
THAT is the "republican side" of the problem..they (don't) think...or realize...not everyone has padded pockets of fluff.
Duh.
Sincerely.
A LONG time minimum wage EARNED EVERY BIT OF IT honestly and above the tables worker
T.E.A.!!!
Revise the american communist act from its current comminust form and get it right-FOR the UNinsured American working class lower wage earners-NOT divide and DRAIN against them.
I agree with most of your points. However, I believe anyone who is serious about working for a living won't be making minimum wage for very long. The only people who make minimum wage are those who are new to the workforce, and those who are unreliable and don't develop sufficient proficiency to progress because other things are more important to them, such as playing basketball at midnight, hanging out late with other people who aren't serious about working for a living, goofing off at work instead of doing what they're paid to do and increasing their capabilities.
The type of economy we used to have in the United States rewarded those who were serious about working for a living. Not that long ago, if a person was serious about working for a living, they could afford adequate health insurance for their family. There is an entire American middle class culture that proved this. I grew up in one of those families, and that was the norm, not the exception.
I don't buy the "working class" poor excuse. However, it is easy to track when health insurance premiums became less affordable. This coincidentally coincides with the Democrats pushing their socialized medicine programs.
All health care is paid for. Far too often, it is not paid for by the person receiving it. Therefore, everyone else who is paying for their health care has to pay for not only their own health care, but all the health care being consumed by those not paying.
What the Democrats did was make the government the single provider of health insurance. Every insurance company that goes along with ObamaKare will have to be bailed out by the government, thus the government will take over all those insurance providers. Because there is only a finite amount of health care, health care is rationed by some rules. Rather than having rationing determined by affordability based on productivity in the economy, ObamaKare makes rationing of health care politically subjective. For instance, it's very easy to predict that the ObamaKare Death Panel will kill someone so some crackwhore can have an abortion.

If disposed of properly, the mercury is not released.

The amount of mercury in a CFL is far less than the mercury released into the atmosphere in generating the extra amount of electricity to run conventional incandescent bulbs over the lifetime of that CFL.

I don't see anything here about having authority to rewrite the Constitution to suit some political whim.

Kim Jong Un's executed uncle was eaten alive by 120 hungry dogs: report

By Eric Baculinao and Alexander Smith, NBC News
BEIJING -- North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's powerful uncle was stripped naked, thrown into a cage, and eaten alive by a pack of ravenous dogs, according to a newspaper with close ties to China's ruling Communist Party.
The report could not be independently confirmed by NBC News on Friday.

The man who was believed to be in charge of training his young nephew to take over was executed as a traitor, indicating a shake-up in Kim Jong Un's regime. NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports.
Jang Song Thaek, who had been considered Kim's second-in-command, was executed last month after being found guilty of "attempting to overthrow the state," North Korea’s state-run news agency reported.
The official North Korean account on Dec. 12 did not specify how Jang was put to death.
Hong Kong-based pro-Beijing newspaper Wen Wei Po reported that Jang and his five closest aides were set upon by 120 hunting hounds which had been starved for five days.
Kim and his brother Kim Jong Chol supervised the one-hour ordeal along with 300 other officials, according to Wen Wei Po. The newspaper added that Jang and other aides were "completely eaten up."
The newspaper has acted as a mouthpiece for China's Communist Party. The report may be a sign of the struggle between those in the party who want to remain engaged with North Korea and those who would like to distance themselves from Kim's regime.

The youngest son of Kim Jong Il succeeded his late father in 2011, becoming the third member of his family to rule the unpredictable and reclusive communist state.

Jang was seen by many experts as a regent behind North Korea's Kim dynasty and a key connection between the hermit nation and its ally China.
In the highly scripted execution, North Korea accused him of "attempting to overthrow the state by all sorts of intrigues and despicable methods with a wild ambition to grab the supreme power of our party and state."
Kim's government also accused him of of corruption, womanizing, gambling and taking drugs, and referred to him as "despicable human scum."
Jang was married to Kim's aunt, Kim Kyong Hui, the younger sister of Kim Jong Il.
Alexander Smith reported from London.

You are such an idiot. If the Supreme Court says the sky is orange today, tomorrow the sky won't change color. But, because the sky isn't orange, you will know the Supreme Court is lying to you, or is incompetent. This is why the Constitution is written so simply, even you can understand what is in it.
The Constitution was written so the average person can easily read and understand it. The founding fathers did this because it is important for the people to know when their government is lying to them, like when some fraud gets put into the presidency and immediately starts spying on the population. The 4th Amendment is very easy to read and understand, and very clearly prohibits this.
You have to understand the concept of a constitutional republic to understand the role of the constitution. You, along with Obama, need an education in this. Both of you are ignorant buffoons.
And you know what's even more pathetic DB--

An above the tables, self sustaining, out there every day, contributing minimum wage earner @ the old rate of 7.25 an hr, on any sort of "salaried dispersion" plan...would actually make LESS take home per month, than a givverment teat drawing proffessional.

Now there's something with THAT type of "economy" for sure.

The Affordable Care Act is here to stay

Now that the fight over Obamacare is history, perhaps everyone can finally focus on making the program work the way it was designed. Or, preferably, better.

The fight is history, you realize. Done. Finito. Yesterday’s news.

Any existential threat to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) ended with the popping of champagne corks as the new year arrived. That was when an estimated 6 million uninsured Americans received coverage through expanded Medicaid eligibility or the federal and state health insurance exchanges. Obamacare is now a fait accompli; nobody is going to take this coverage away.

There may be more huffing, puffing and symbolic attempts at repeal by Republicans in Congress. There may be continued resistance and sabotage by Republican governors and GOP-controlled state legislatures. But the whole context has changed.

Now, officials in states that refused to participate in Medicaid expansion will have to explain why so many of their constituents — about 5 million nationwide — remain uninsured when they could have qualified for coverage. More than 1 million of these needlessly uninsured Americans live in Texas, which is targeted by Democrats as ripe for inroads because of its rapidly changing demographics. Will Gov. Rick Perry (R) be forced to reconsider his Obamacare rejectionism? Or will he ultimately be remembered for speeding the state’s transition from red to blue?

Performance of the federal insurance exchange Web site, HealthCare.gov , will continue to improve, if only because the initial flood of applicants is bound to subside. Meanwhile, insurance costs and benefits in states that refused to set up their own exchanges will be compared with those in states that did. There will be questions about how the new law is performing — but no one will be able to pretend it does not exist.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/eugene...

Increasingly, though, the GOP will sound foolish and irrelevant if it continues to put all of its eggs in the “repeal and replace” basket. The problem is that the Affordable Care Act is a set of free-market reforms based on ideas developed in conservative think tanks. Republicans who want to repeal Obamacare would have to replace it with something suspiciously similar.

If Republicans in Congress would work with the administration to make technical corrections to the Affordable Care Act, they could claim a victory of sorts: Obama gave you this mess and we cleaned it up. But after demonizing the program — and the president — for so long, the party has painted itself into a corner.

Note to the GOP:“We refuse, under any circumstances, to make the law work better for the citizens we represent” is perhaps not the ideal campaign slogan for the midterm election.
