Where is the compromise? It sounds like the Democrats are getting exactly what they want and only a few liberal Republicans like John McCain are willing to support it. A compromise would be allowing people to privately sell guns between states and repealing provisions of the the Gun Control Act of 1968 as long as they had proof of passing a background check. Cards could be issued to people who can pass a background check so there isn't a need to basically track all firearm purchases through gun dealers. That is going to create a de facto gun registration scheme and is absurd.

Until such time as the government bans crimes such as murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, rape, etc.. I'm keeping my guns to protect "My Family". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to read the court documents from across the entire country and see that the system utilizes sympathy towards the most violent citizens. The cops are frustrated and burned-out as they deal with the same people over and over and over. Violent crime should be treated as it is...

I cannot perceive a compromise the gun owners, and the NRA would accept. We are talking about the Bill of Rights here. The bill is dead. D-E-A-D, dead!!!McCain is senile, and I don't know how he was reelected.

McCain voted FOR the gun control amendments yesterday. What compromise ? He is a RINO of the worst kind. The NVA should have kept him, he would have done wonders for the North Vietnam communist party.

Say "fromage"!
Thanks. I'll let you know the findings as soon as forensics is finished. Don't worry. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation, and possibly a treatment.

McCain is nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing. Or should I say, a liberal in Republican clothing?

Is that supposed to hurt my feelings? Is it supposed to prove me wrong? It simply shows that you have nothing to prove me wrong. You must be used to dealing with your fellow liberals.

McCain is frequently called "Poopstain" McCain by
folks in AZ. Cancerous old dementia case corrupts
and pollutes in an attempt to create "legacy".

The correct term is RINO.

Republican

(although, truth be told, there isn't a very big difference between the two parties anymore)

Thanks for the info on the acronym.
You are exactly right about the parties. People need to wise up and form/back a viable third party. Not a fly by night flash in the pan like some of the recent ones either.
