Bottom line: regardless of color you MUST see that this man and his connection to Wright is VERY relevant. This is a man CHOSEN as a mentor and what his mentor is teaching is NOT in the best interests of society as a whole NOR is it very Christian-like. EXACTLY THAT'S ALL IT IS racism

So, I get it when 3X says white folks often have difficulty understanding privilege. This is because they are not used to not having it. They have no basis of comparison. So, they revert to individual responsibility as the solution for all black problems because they feel that this is what they have done. I don't think that black people have a problem with individual responsibility; it is as you have said, what am I going to get out of it? I mean I think that I understand what native Americans feel, but I could never feel it the same way that they do, any more than they could feel being black the way I do. But, if there were a way for people to really understand what it is like to be someone else, we might make some progress. Right. I'm not arguing the whites usually know or understand privilege. Quite to the contrary. And so I understand exactly what you are saying about how the revert to individual responsibility. That's the same thing I am talking about...that it is a false dichotomy this notion of privilege vs. individuality. We know this further with your next point...that actually, Black folks know all about individual responsibility and teach it and preach it. The gap in understanding is more rooted in culture and cultural difference. It has a privilege component because white folk take for granted that it is their cultural norms that are correct and the metric that all others should be judged by. They don't recognize white ways of being and knowing as culture. Nor privilege. So...as I say...often they are ignorant about their own culture. Then...they surely don't know about other cultures. They often enter the conversations double ignorant. Yet somehow think that they know and can speak with authority. That's not really privilege vs. individuality. That is ignorance vs. knowledge, one cultural perspective against another.

Obama is a sell-out to our people. I'm sick and tired of him actig and talking like he is a white man. If he wants to pander to the crackers, let him. I would love to see a black man as president but unfortunately the 3 candidates we have left are all white. Now I can give some blacks people who I would like see run this country... 1. The Honorable Louis Farrahkan 2. Brother Malik Shabazz 3. Charles Barron (NYC City Councilman) That's just a few I will start with. I will also mention that I'm a member of the "National Black United Front." Check us out and you will see what our message is.

John McCain is entitled to these checks. He served in the military, he served in the senate, and paid into social security. I presume you pay your taxes, do you feel you are entitled to social security? And I suppose being rich is a bad thing? He is the only candidate qualified to accept the job as commander-in-chief.(By the way, that job includes running the military) Obama and Hillary have not served, what qualifies them? Slick Willy dodged the draft, and you see what HE did in office. I think it should be mandatory for a president to have served in the military, with an honorable discharge. Would you want someone cooking your breakfast who dosen't know a frying pan from a tea kettle? I doubt it. And whether or not you agree with the war, we ARE at war, and I shiver at the thought of having either democratic nominee at the helm when we are a heartbeat away from another attack.

Yes, Senator Obama is Correct! The public is tired of hearing about his former pastor.~~~~~ Senator Obama is Focusing on the Problems of Americans~~~~~~ And American Democrats need to keep their focus on McCain and the Republicans Party they are moving on:~~~~~~ Democrats need to wake up!~~~~~~ No matter who you're supporting in the primary, if you're like a lot of folks, you're probably ready for it to be over already. Well, we're right there with you. Let's face it, this is an once-in-a-lifetime election and it's time to start focusing on the Republicans.~~And while the spotlight is firmly fixed on the fighting around the Democratic primary, John McCain is set to go into the general election with a serious advantage. Right now he's building up his team—meaning there's a good chance he'll run up a big lead before our team even gets on the field.~~~~ Please VOTE for your candidate and try in your hearts to not make,”RACE” a factor in November's Presidential Election.~~~ I am fed up with politics as usual in this country and you should be also!~~~ Obama for President!

I am not even voting Democrat in the general election but every political conversation always turns toward Obama and trying to keep everyone focused on the real issues. It is so idiotic to say that he is a closet muslim and the crap about his grandmother is just priceless. I feel like it has been more of a fight to keep people fair about this whole thing instead of focusing on their excuses for the bigotry. It's like they really are racist but don't want to admit it, so they will latch on any untruth as proof that they really aren't racist but HE is so we shouldn't vote for him. If you are on here, than you have access to the computer. I beg each of you to go to 6 different websites - the one for each candidate for their current position, they are all senators so it is helpful to see what each is working toward in each of their states. Then, go to their campaign websites. Educate yourselves on these people instead of picking crap out of the media. They won't give you the whole story, they will only give you what they think will sell their stories. The media lies more than anyone. Make up your own minds based on at least these websites. There are others to help your research, but I have found those 6 to be the most informative. Those show who they really are and who they want to be. If you can hook up with one of those then you are making a good informed vote, regardless of who agrees or disagrees with you.

It does not represent Blacks or whites. 1. Folks can't accept the truth if they don't know the truth. Ignorance won't play. 2. The issue is privilege vs. individual responsibility. That is a farce. 3. people who know something about race and those who want to learn something then people can be open. When folks show up who are ignorant, but want to tell "raced" folks about race...that's when there is no discussion to be had. Those are laugh and point moments.

It is not unusual since the begining of America politics for the democratic 2008 race to hear series of tarnish on one person or the other. Why should McCain and Hillary Cliton keep aportioning the predicament of others to Sen. Obama? For God sake, every American has a right and a voice, Pastor wright has said his own view about America, Obama being the member of his congregation like any other person must not carry his cross. Please, stop using these tactics Sen. Cliton since it will not work.
