There are 71 comments on the Politico story from Nov 17, 2013, titled GOP's third shot at Senate: Charm or bust?. In it, Politico reports that:

Sharron Angle. Christine O'Donnell. Todd Akin. Richard Mourdock. After Republican primaries produced that horror show of candidates in two consecutive elections, probably costing the party control of the Senate, GOP leaders vowed that 2014 must be different.

My guess is you've graduated from cigars to kosher salamis.

Elections are less about who you want in than it is those you wish to keep out. Last election I didn't vote for Romney--I voted against DumBama.

Here's your problem;

1 - Exchanges in my state work fine, as do other exchanges that opted in. Even Kentucky. So yes, I did just fine, saved quite a bit, and keep all my doctors. But, you're an idiot - people trying to access the exchange through the FEDERAL WEBSITE have had problems.

Get it now????

2 - you have senators giving blow jobs TO OTHER MEN IN AN AIRPORT!!

At least Bill kept it with the opposite sex stupid!

Let's not forget the new senator from South Carolina - who lied to the public about where he was - in Brazil with his mistress. Cheated on his wife, and used taxpayer dollars to do it - so you have no high road to stand on.

Best if you just shut up - you make less sense with each post.

And the result is what happens when you vote against someone rather than for someone.

Same thing happened to the Dems in '04 with Kerry. No one actually wanted Kerry to be President; they were just voting against Bush. They got their wish.

So did you.

Will the GOPasaurs learn from those past mistakes by both parties?

Doubtful.

They'll line up to vote against Hillary in '16 and will ensure her election as the next president.

Oh, that would be much better leadership.
"We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."
"Unemployment and food stamps stimulate the economy."
And hey! What about all that carbon footprint we've been saving since she lost the Speakership? You know, flying back and forth across the country in her own plane? And when she wasn't using it, her family was?
Right now the Republicans are missing a grand opportunity to not only take leadership of the Senate, but have a much stronger majority in Congress. They should not be helping DumBama with his failed socialist healthcare plan. They should let it crash and burn which it's well on it's way of doing. Hundreds of thousands of people losing their jobs and millions losing their health insurance plans, and this is only the start. It accelerates in 14.
The important numer to watch is OBummer's approval numbers. That's the indicator of what the next election holds. People hold the party of the President responsible for our gains or losses. Lots of buyers remorse out there.
I hate to burst your bubble but in a special election in Louisiana this past weekend, McCalister, a moderate republican, beat the teabagger. You know why? Because McCalister ran on a "let's fix the ACA" platform and the idiot teabagger ran on a "let's repeal Obamacare" platform.

Even the idiots in Louisiana are tired of you bible banging, do-nothing, racists.

Oh, man, thanks for the chuckle. Actually, you African American Haters, or racists as we like to call you, have hit rock bottom. You lost all your elections a few weeks ago against moderate republicans and dems and just this past weekend, one of your teabagging idiots lost to McCalister, a moderate republican and in Louisiana, no less.

Poor teabaggers. All that hate is really paying off, ain't it?

There is to much infighting in the Repub party while they have to fight the Dem party. So i can not tell you the future. But in the traditional two party elitist controlled elections, at some point Repubs will win one. And after this radical hatemonger with no sense but has the power of using the system and corrupted bullchitt, there will be very little sympathy the other way. Thieves, murderers and proponents of evil deeds with very little use of principles is pushed as the progressive way of living.

The congressional Democrats must first survive the shrapnel from the ACA blowback. They put one over the heads of their own constituents and they're not pleased. But this has just begun for them. The employer based market will push out some 7 million people down the road. No amount of speeches and talking points will save their careers if they let that bomb explode. They'll kill ACA before it kills their political careers.

McAllister was endorsed by the people on Duck Dynasty, very religious, very much allied with the Taxed Enough Already people. He is just the first of many Tea party people who will be elected in to the next Congress. No more mealy mouthed liberals. Thank God.

Look at the polls. If all this were going on before last election, DumBama would be on the golf course today except he would be paying for it himself.

You are correct, they must be idiots. But remember that Commie Care hasn't hit every home just yet. The fun is only beginning. This is only the private market reacting now. Wait until this disaster starts to hit employer based insurance plans. You think Hussein's approval ratings are bad now???

My tax preparer told me that very soon, Commie Care will require Americans to pay taxes on the healthcare plans their employer provides them. Wait until all those Commie Care supporters find that out when they don't get their income tax refund check or one perhaps a few hundred dollars shorter.

Watching the explosion is going to be fun.

By the time 16 rolls around, Hillarious will be an old lady. She's not aging very well.

Republicans only have to remind voters of two things: Benghazi and Hillary Care. That should be enough to ensure a Republican win no matter who is running.
