GOP's third shot at Senate: Charm or bust?

Nov 17, 2013 Full story: Politico 71

Sharron Angle. Christine O'Donnell. Todd Akin. Richard Mourdock. After Republican primaries produced that horror show of candidates in two consecutive elections, probably costing the party control of the Senate, GOP leaders vowed that 2014 must be different.

Agreed Tony. The GOP seems completely incapable of finding just ONE great candidate that will actually win an election. When you come to the table with a moron and quitter like Sarah Palin, an adulterer like Herman Cain, a racist and straight-up yuck yuck like Rick Perry, a rich mormon who doesn't even act human like Mitt, a loon like Michelle Bachman, a Canadian egomaniac like Ted Cruz, you have ZERO chance of taking back the Senate, let alone the White House.

What the GOP is doing well is scaring away moderates, Hispanics, blacks, women, immigrants, homosexuals and the poor. What are they thinking over there on the right?

Well at least Rand Paul has said:

"We're going to win when we look like America. We need to be white, we need to be brown, we need to be black, we need to with tattoos, without tattoos, with pony tails, without pony tails, with beards, without."

Good luck, Rand!

Lost that health care policy that you could afford? Lost the doctor that you liked? Vote DEM and see what else you lose.

The right is thinking about how to form a movement patterned after Hitler's Youth.

It is going to be great to watch these idiot tea-baggers go off the deep end when ‘We the People’ keep the Democrats in control of the Senate and give the gavel back to Speaker Pelosi.

GOP's third shot at Senate: Charm or bust?

They can't even manage the congress.

When their approval ratings get to the double digits, they MIGHT have shot.

Poor teabaggers.

Unfortunately I don't think the House will flip until after the next gerrymandering in 2020.

Oh, that would be much better leadership.

"We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."
"Unemployment and food stamps stimulate the economy."

And hey! What about all that carbon footprint we've been saving since she lost the Speakership? You know, flying back and forth across the country in her own plane? And when she wasn't using it, her family was?

Right now the Republicans are missing a grand opportunity to not only take leadership of the Senate, but have a much stronger majority in Congress. They should not be helping DumBama with his failed socialist healthcare plan. They should let it crash and burn which it's well on it's way of doing. Hundreds of thousands of people losing their jobs and millions losing their health insurance plans, and this is only the start. It accelerates in 14.

The important numer to watch is OBummer's approval numbers. That's the indicator of what the next election holds. People hold the party of the President responsible for our gains or losses. Lots of buyers remorse out there.

It can be different this time for the
Republicans, but it will depend on how much
lipstick they can smear on their pigs.

Jeez, what a bunch of oinkers.

You can smell their stench a mile away.

Sharron Angle?
She runs away from reporters so fast
all they ever see is the back of her head.

Christine O'Donnell?
Impossible as it may seem, she's even more of a
chucklehead than Michelle Bachmann.

Todd Akin? The guy who knows about real rape
versus the fake kind?

Three good choices.. So very Republican.
So very piggy.

More lipstick for God's sake!!!!

Could be true.
We also could see the Democrats gain seats at the expense of moderate Republicans. That would push the house GOP even further to the far right, at the point in time when the rest of the GOP is hoping to move back to the Center.
It will be interesting.

The trouble is that the Center has been moved
so far to the radical right that the word "Center"
no longer has any meaning.

In today's tea-party atmosphere a moderate Republican
is some kind of socialist. Your tea party no longer
recognizes Old Glory. It's the Stars and Bars now-a-
days. The battle swastika of the Old Regime. Hog jowls
and moonshine.

Its going to be great seeing Democrats lose Senate seats because they voted for Obamacare. Not a single Republican voted for it. In fact Democrats were so determined to pass this fiasco that Republicans were not even told about it. You fools really did it this time, you thought your'e crooked ways would get you everything. Sounds a bit like SATAN!

Republicans have so many rain dead people, but I have never know one to have sex with cigars. Your crazy guy not only had sex with cigars he used a woman almost the same age as his daughter. And really Tony, you expect us to believe you are all enrolled in the Candyman's insurance scam, and you saved money too when no one else can get through. That's amazing.
