"Senator Michael Bennet says that, for the first time in 20 years, there is hope an immigration overhaul will pass Congress."

What makes him think that? The hype? Fear of less than 10% of the total vote? Obama going against federal law or no enforcement of our immigration laws?

The House will kill this sure as sh#tting. Why did the democrat expose themselves this way? They think if the public gets behind this it will somehow push for illegal aliens to become citizens. Americans don't want to give their country away and House republicans will stand up for America and not allow this to happen.

If Obama somehow forces a vote on the bill the House will load it down with so many amendments like closing down the 14th amendment, birthright citizenship, national e-verify, stop issuing ITIN numbers, requiring SS numbers to register for school, these are just a few, the Senate will never sign on to and may kill the bill themselves.

So? John McCain once misused a word. What does that have to do with anything?
This is what Rubio said when debating Charlie Crist in 2010, proving he too is a consummate politician who only says what he thinks will help his own agenda:

"As far as "amnesty", that’s where the governor and I disagree. He would have voted for the McCain plan. I think that plan is wrong, and the reason why I think it’s wrong is that if you grant "amnesty", as the governor proposes that we do, in any form, whether it’s back of the line or so forth, you will destroy any chance we will ever have of having a legal immigration system that works here in America."

It appears the word has been used by many. Were you asleep at the time?

<quoted text>Have you ever heard of John McCain?
“There are jobs that American workers simply won’t do,” McCain said.“As long as there’s a demand for workers, workers are going to come across.”
An amnesty program is vital to any immigration legislation that includes a guest-worker program, he said.
“Amnesty has to be an important part because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30 or 40 years, who have raised children here and pay taxes here and are not citizens. That has to be a component of it,” he said.“How can we have a temporary worker program if we’re not allowing people who have been here for 30 years to hold jobs here?”

Um, really?????
This is the idiot the Republicans nominated for president in 2008 which tells us alot about the neocon leadership of this failing party. Both parties suck, and anyone from either party who supports this amnesty needs to be voted out of office for selling the American people out.

If you want to play dumb that is your business. The word has been in use since at least 1580 and the meaning has always been clear, but I realize you live within the right wing bubble and small details like that do not penetrate the bubble.

Let's try this angle. Say you bought something on ebay. It cost thousands or perhaps ten of thousands of dollars. Then you have to wait twenty fours years for delivery. Would you really be jumping up and down twenty four years later thinking you got something for free?

On second thought you probably would. That is why you are the prime demographic for FOX, FAIR and the Lou Dobbs of the world. They feed you shit and you just parrot it without question.

Memo, get over yourself. Don't pretend to know what I think and whose opinions with which I align myself. Why don't YOU try to open your eyes to the lies that are being foisted on the American people with the promise of this being the last reform...yet again.

Nice dodge. When you blindly repeat focus grouped talking points it is pretty obvious where you get your marching orders from.

Gee Teddy. When you are not mindlessly repeating something somebody else told you to say, you really are at a lose for words.

Actually, let's do it this way, let's agree that we disagree on many levels, and leave it at that. I kind of think you are guilty of the same thing you accuse me of, but whatever. I guess you and I will never reach a point of agreeing on little else. Just have a good day.
