Jackson's rise to prominence is underscored by an oppressed people who feel helpless and hopeless against the institutions that control this nation. They know from many years of experience, and even by the comments on these message boards, that they cannot trust the whites and the institutions designed to perpetuate an ideal of white supremacy, so they will turn to anyone who is black out of sheer desperation.

There is a shortage of honorable people to be leaders, both black and white, so what the people need to do to fix their areas and the nation is, elect latino leaders.
