*Barack Obama is catching flack for referring periodically to females as "sweetie." The Democratic presidential nominee has apologized to reporter Peggy Agar of Michigan's WXYZ for using the term when she questioned him at a Chrysler car plant in Detroit. Ms Agar told the Detroit News: "I've been called worse."

Amazing. It's sad how we don't allow our canidates to be human. We make them into politicians, even though we don't like them to be such.

I would bet the ranch that because of Obama's candidacy, this years general election campaigns will be full of "swiftboat" type goons who will come out the woodwork to jump on every worthless word or phrase that they can turn into an advantage for thier candidate.

Lets discuss the issues. This character assassination process that we put the candidates through is based on sensationalism.
