I just took this off Obama’s website. With the Health Care Plan and all the other promises he is making, WHERE IN THE HELL IS HE GOING TO COME UP WITH ALL THIS MONEY !! HE WILL RAISE TAXES, PERIOD! INSTEAD OF STOPPING THE SENATE AND CONGRESS FROM SPENDING OUR HARD, EARNED MONEY!!! ANYONE???
"We are taking steps in the right direction, and American automakers are on the move," Obama told a friendly crowd in Warren, where he unveiled a manufacturing agenda that includes billions of dollars in potential aid for the Detroit car companies.

So would you rather McCain end employee health benefits and give each individual $5,000 to buy there own insurance?

When in fact a health insurance policy costs about $12,000, that's not counting co-payments for office visits or co-payments for perscriptions. Not to mention if you have a pre-existing condition you probably wont be able to get the insurance from the beginning.

Then what, just roll over and die?

That's what McCain is proposing.

Got a better plan?

Let me remind you if you somehow forgot this - everyone is required to die. If you have a medical condition that requires treatment you cannot afford, you would either need to beg from others or die. It does not matter if begging is systemic - it is still begging.

Any 'public' funding should be limited to whatever is in public interest - curing well-understood diseases like infections and managing basic conditions like blood pressure and diabetes.

Anyways, freepublicans will continue to fund Viagra - they already have 'fiscal conservative' trade marked. No problem !

And, democrats will fund teeth made from solid gold, if it were to let people bite apples half a second faster. They are the 'savior of the poor'.

IMO, as both parties are falling over each other to fund this delinquency or that, it indicates a deeper problem - that Americans are falling in love with free lunches.

Politicians come in and say they will cut taxes, fund more of medicare, launch wars AND go back to the moon and people get in line to pick them for running the country. And then, they complain the politicians are ruining the country! What a joke!
