The numbers are bogus because the CPI is one of the primary indicators used to guage unemployment and inflation rates, and the CPI doesn't consider energy costs, food prices, commercial real estate or most basic raw materials.

More federal book cooking.

PS: From your source:

The 102.159 million Americans not working in December is not the all-time record of Americans not working. That all-time record was set in October, 2013, at 102.896 million. The employment-population ratio that month was an even more pitiful 58.2%.

That was the lowest in 30 years, all the way back to 1983, the first year of the recovery from Reagan’s recession, which finally slayed the historic double digit inflation of the 1970s. The employment-population ratio of 57.9% in 1983 was up by the fifth year of Reagan’s recovery to 61.5%, on its way to 63.0% in 1989.

++

So the record - according to your source- would be Reagan.

Putting aside Reagan wasn't dealing with baby boomers retiring.

And count people like you who have never looked and have no intention of looking.

Then multiply that number by two or three.

Wrong. The record is Obama's.
Have someone read you the article again. Then, have someone explain it to you.

No recovery in the second quarter either. This is the worst economy since 2008. The lying about it will only make people angrier. I live in Illinois, Obama's country, and he is polling badly. He is even losing Union workers. Yeah, yeah they are all racists!!!

Wall Street is on the cusp of another milestone.

The Dow Jones industrial average is about 50 points away from crossing 17,000 for the first time ever. The blue-chip average closed at a record high Friday, as did the broader S&P 500 index.

I think the second quarter will prove to be much better than the first. I base this on how busy we are because we are a transportation company, and we are busy as hell these last few months.

How that fares against the first quarter is yet to be seen. Even if we grew 3% this quarter, we still only recovered our losses from the first quarter and went nowhere since the beginning of the year.

On the other hand, if we have another quarter of negative growth, we would technically be in another recession. A recession is defined as two consistent negative growth quarters.

If that happens, the liberals will blame the Republican Congress. If my hunch is true and we have a dynamic second quarter, they will credit DumBama even though he hasn't done a thing to move the economy.

If Obama were a Republican: He would already be "history": long since impeached, convicted and in stocks on the National Mall. "Tingles" Matthews would be lurking around, hawking rotten tomatoes to all onlookers.

As if 42% is something to rag about. Besides, when you are having to compare Obama to Bush what does that say? Kinda like saying you a little smarter than a retard. Would you take that a a positive? lol!

What matters is the TP has gone from staging rallies to altering and winning seats in elections in a few short years, unlike their forgotten counter parts the Democrats cooked up in the occupy movement.

The 2 parties and the media wouldn't spend so much time trying to prove their irrelevance if they WERE so irrelevant.
