That's only because you sponsored her as your spouse which gets her to the head of the line.
For anyone who is not being sponsored by their citizen spouse the wait is a decade or more.
So why should your wife get special treatment?
hahahahaah from the 2% that have been driving for special treatment for years. I hear you will marry your gerbil in the spring.

Of the Top-10 best places to live and work in the world;
#1 China - that shocked the hell outta me! LOL Work I may agree, especially Shanghai. Live? I'm not sold on that. Maybe as far as cost of living is concerned, true.
#3 Singapore - no surprise there, but expensive
#4 Germany - D'UH! LOL But of course language fluency is required
#6 Australia
#7 Hong Kong - While it is a part of China, it has a separate political system
Want to take a wild guess which country did NOT make the Top-10 best place to live and work? USA
How about a link for your list?
There are many different "best" places lists depending on criteria. None I looked at were even close to yours.

Watch list countries naturally take longer. Exempt and neutral countries take considerably less, and probably do receive some sort of preference. Singapore is both a neutral and exempt country.
The longer wait period for Mexicans is likely due to the considerably larger number of applicants.
I notice you didn't answer my question. If you choose to marry a foreign spouse, why should they get preferential immigration treatment?

Yes, the longer wait period for Mexicans is because for decades we had strict quotas which favored white Europeans over central Americans and Asians. While those quotas were removed in 1965, the decades long backlog is what led to so many coming in illegally.

Why should a spouse of ANY gender get preferential treatment in immigration?

It's not a gay v straight issue. If you choose to marry a foreign national, they should have to wait in line for a green card just like everyone else.

I'm sorry, I thought my reply had answered your question. Because of the exempt and neutral status of Singapore, it has nothing to do with her being my spouse. Processing times from SG in general take a year or less. Each country has it's own situation which applies to the processing time. Do Singaporeans receive preferential treatment? I would say yes, and I agree, as they should. It is a neutral and exempt country.
Ummm, no. Spouses receive preferential treatment over all others applying for a visa from the same country. So while anyone from Singapore may have preference over someone from Mexico, a spouse from Singapore has an even HIGHER preference over anyone else applying from Singapore.

So I'll ask again, what qualifications does your spouse have which entitled her to preferential treatment over all others from Singapore?

I believe you mean to say that you want to make gays normal instead of abnormal, you want to make an abomination normal and you want beastality to be legal as well. I can see it now, petitioning the state department for a Yak to be sent from Scotland so I can have my selected partner. Ah, but how do I house break him.

The chaos caused major traffic backups on several downtown streets until lines of police forced crowds to move.

Looters even raided a 7-Eleven on Broadway, taking advantage of the celebrations. In Fells Point, a mini-van picked the wrong time to try to drive through the crowds. It was hemmed in and surrounded…try explaining that damage to your insurance agent.

Did you's gets ya a free six pack of colt 45 dar boy.
