If these new immigrants were going to be GOP voters you can bet the Dems would be out there building a wall all along the border banging nails with Jimmy Carter and Habitat for Humanity.

Whatever happened to the Rethugs support for "self deportation" as an immigration Policy.

That was a brilliant strategy

There is a simple solution, maybe you can agree with it:

Don't build a fence, don't deport anybody.

Simply DO NOT GIVE ANY BENEFITS to anybody that is here illegally, no matter how long they've been here.

No free health care.
No public schooling.
No Welfare.
No EBT.
Can't even check out a public library book without proof of citizenship.

Then vigorously prosecute any employer that can't prove the citizen of all his employees. He won't hire them, so they won't have a job.

The illegals, without any job or benefits, deport themselves. And more illegals won't come here. No fence required.

You on board with that? Makes sense to me...

The problems with that solution are many.
1. Hispanic supremacy groups will cry racism (This is true with any solution).
2. Billions of dollars will not be given to defense contractors to build “virtual fences” and other technology that virtually never works.
3. Thousands of teachers would not be needed to baby sit millions of illegal aliens in schools.
4. Thousands of law enforcement officers would not be needed due to the reduction in crime.
5.Thousands of lawyers would not be needed because of the reduction in crime.
6.Fewer prisons and prison workers would be needed.
7.Politicians who have built their careers pandering to those who support illegal aliens would lose political power and possibly their jobs.
8. Criminals who employ illegal aliens would be forced to pay decent wages and taxes thus eliminating their competitive advantage against honest employers.
9. Thousands of welfare workers would be out of work because of the drop in welfare claims for anchor babies.
10.The need for translators in the welfare system and criminal justice system would drop.
I am sure there are many other excuses for not enforcing the law and protecting American citizens but I do not have time to list them because I have to get to work to support the millions of illegal aliens and their children.

Those who profit from exploiting illegal aliens voted for Obama and prevented that from happening. Don't you pay attention to current events?

The GOPasaurs are screwed either way.

If the GOP continues to oppose immigration reform, Obama & the Dems can blame them. The Dems will get the overwhelming majority of hispanic vote for decades.

If the GOP supports immigration reform, the hispanics will see it as a blatant attempt to buy their votes, while Obama & the Dems will get credit for passing immigration reform. The Dems will get the overwhelming majority of hispanic votes for decades.

Either way the Dems will get the overwhelming majority of hipsanic votes for decades.

Sad to say some Republicans have become sell-outs. I guess that's why politics is the world's second oldest profession. Robert the Bruce did something similar to William Wallace.

The Democrats will load this bill up so it is unworkable and fails to pass. Then they will blame the Republicans. I dont think there s any possibilty of getting any change to illegal immigration because everyone wants to be on their white horse and say they saved the day. We are still going to have illegals streaming across the border like army ants.

Timing is good for rewarding the foreigners for ignoring our immigration laws. Obama's re-election proved that American's aren't as committed to keeping 'sovereign nation' status intact for our children. Americans don't feel the same responsibility to our children that our parents shouldered for us.
